Let's talk about some of the themes.

Money is clearly at odds with humanity or at least the behaviours it encourages: Dr. Ford's low opinion of the financially conscious board, Logan being a sociopath, hints at MiB having a philanthropic public life despite being evil personified. That recent line about flesh and blood being a commercially viable alternative to earlier robotics was especially poignant.

There's the whole meta they continuously launch into drawing comparisons between the park and television. Most bluntly from the guy who proposes story arcs, but also when they talk about the goal of the park in giving people a release or some sort of escapist fantasy.

Dolores touched on the source of her burgeoning humanity being grief and pain, qualities she didn't want to lose when given the opportunity.

I can't really keep track of it all. Lots of interesting stuff at every turn even besides the narrative.

I'm still not sold on dual timelines theory but we'll wait and see.

Also read two theories where they think Dolores was in a love triangle with Ford and Arnold, or that William and Dolores represents Romeo and Juliet/Montague's and Capulet's, to continue on the Shakespearean theme.

my friend and i have been ruminating on that theory after each episode the past couple of weeks. it is entirely possible and would be a cool way to go with it, but she still remains a lot more skeptic about it than i am. i just think for a park which has a founder who prides itself in innovation and change, you don't have dolores running basically the same loop for 30 years. through the first 5 episodes of the show, she's had several fathers yet we see her doing the same few activities and maintaining the same general structure to her day.

that being said though, i would def be interested in seeing how they would pull it off.

i have to think that dolores probably kills william at some point.

If I remember correctly they mentioned somewhere earlier in the season that the hosts are put into different roles over the years. EG: Peter Abernathy had at least two or three different narratives, one being that he was a part of a group of cannibals.

So yeah if it IS dual timelines then it'd be lazy for them to have had Dolores in the same narrative over the past 30 yrs.

i wanna f--- Delores and that black chick. have like a 3 way oreo supreme. show itself is good, i think anthony hopkins is a robot, and that the man in black is going to find out the secret is how how arnold is still actually alive and planting all these robots to retaliate this whole time. remember we dont know how arnold died so its possible.

i for some reason when watching the episode thought he transferred his consciousness into one of the hosts but that sounds so fkn stupid after i wrote it out.

i think he's probably alive or someone else is carrying on his legacy and using his name

since she called him.

also makes me wonder who else are hosts. a lot of the other workers, i assume.
