    why is a lack of headphone jack a big deal? i think i've charged my phone while using aux cable a total of 5 times in my lifetime.

    lightning port headphones included, lightning->aux adapter included. no big deal

    with bluetooth in most cars plus they include an adapter anyway i dont get whats the problem

    the adapter is like 9$

    Well, when they want you to pay $99/year for a developer membership just so you can do push notifications for your website; they're no longer better than the rest.

    who the f--- wants to carry around an adapter all the time? the adapter also presents another problem since now you can't charge if you're listening to something. also unless you have a newer car you're not going to have bluetooth, and not everyone likes bluetooth or wants wireless and easily lost s-----y apple earbuds that cost $150+, and also have to be charged regularly like the phone itself

    audio jack is standard and perfectly good tech with no reason to go away. removing it is f---ing r-----ed

    I don't get what the f--- digital audio is all about. I mean audio itself is analogue and the way of transmitting it is analogue. It's not like video where you're going to get a 200% increase in quality; it's f---ing audio...

    Apple's going to k--- the headphones as we know it; just wait, there will be no noticeable difference between the digital headphones and the analog headpones but nobody will give a s--- because... It's Apple after all.

    Samsung made a phone with a long lasting battery and still didn't have to sacrifice the jack; what does that tell you about R&D... Plus their battery lasts 10x longer than any iPhone I've ever seen...

    Apple may have invented the iPhone but I'm hoping someone takes iOS and hacks it to run on Android phones just so they can be taken down a notch, bam!

    seems like a good phone but i dont like the f---in airpod idea..
    at least we can use the earpods through the lighting port..

    and the double camera on plus seems amazing

    Some of you guys sound like old people complaining about changing technology

    The same ones who were mad when the cd drive was removed from MacBooks. Use the Lightning airpods that come with it, or use your old ones with the dongle.. You'll get use to it. Or go to android over this, whatever :'(

    It's pretty cool they made it water resistant. That way when you start crying over having to shell another $160 on airpods, there's a good chance your tears won't break it

    Lots of people are concerned with how easy it will be to lose the earphones now. Plus bluetooth ones are more expensive. Essentially apple just gave one option only and that is use their headphones or only bluetooth. Also no aux cord compatibility
