Sep 22, 2016 id like to ask ... are you aware that our constitution states you are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law also I've read lots of comments justifying the officers action because he may or may not have had a gun, but do you realize its not against the law to carry a legally registered weapon in America? ...so if he did have a gun does anyone have anything to say if the weapon was legal or not? and with that... do any of you feel like police officers have authority to k--- a civilian or should that be handled by our court system?
Sep 22, 2016 The issue isn't that he had a gun on him, according to the story (not confirmed yet since they're still investigating) but he may have been high on something(they think PCP) and wasn't really answering or saying much at all to the cops other than mumbling. He ignored a bunch of their orders and kept reaching in his pocket which obviously had the cops suspicious and on alert, then he walked away and over to his car and reached in the window and they thought he may have been grabbing a weapon. So yeah he had the legal right to carry a weapon(if he has his permit) but that doesn't mean he can go reach in his car for it in front of the cops while ignoring everything they say(if that's what he was doing, the family claims he was reading a book.) Here's one of the officers who was there telling their side of the story. http://abcnews.go.com/US/tulsa-police-officer-shares-side-story-terence-crutchers/story?id=42243843 Here's some of the peaceful protests from last night, here they're breaking open a cash register from a local business, that's just terrific and really gets their message across.
Sep 22, 2016 is he supposed to take the bullet and wait for the courts to sort it out later lol legally registered arms k--- you just as easily as illegal ones. if an officer is genuinely fearful for his life and it's the guy with the gun or him, then it's completely justified. whether or not he was genuinely fearful for his life in this case though is up for discussion though, but i can't imagine he just snuck up and murked the dude for fun.
Sep 22, 2016 1. He had no weapons. 2. No matter if he was high does not mean he needs to be killed. 3. You listen to people like Ben Shapiro who worked for breitbrat so I'm really starting to suspect you as being a white supremist 4. You're mixing two cases together with the same info.
Sep 22, 2016 I remember that guy got shot laying down with his hands in the air a few months back and nothing came of that
Sep 22, 2016 As a lighter skinned male I do admit the cops swings in our favor and its f----- up. I've been arrested WASTED a few times beligertant <- however you spell that As f--- name called resisted arrest all sorts of s--- that should of had me either tazed or at least thrown down but they treated me like a delicate feather when I deserved worse On the inside though everyone's orange they treat everyone like s--- when you're in a jumpsuit
Sep 22, 2016 so the right thing to do is s---t an innocent man who appears under distress because he did not obey your orders?
Sep 22, 2016 it's north carolina theyre never gonna f---in change one of the most stubborn f---in states there is it'd be worse if it wasnt already like the shittiest state already lol
Sep 22, 2016 a gun doesn't have to be pulled for them to think their life is in danger. if someone who's on pcp [or whatever he was on] is disobeying his orders and acting unpredictable, then makes a grab for something in a car, it's within reason to think that it may be a weapon. regardless of the race of the person, you can't just start reaching for things while ignoring police. that will get you shot. the gun is almost besides the point if he was making a reaching motion through a car window. again, it's justifiable if they legitimately thought they were in danger. i don't think that's debatable. if a cop thinks they're about to have a weapon pulled on them they have to react fast. they don't have time to wait and see with s--- like that.
Sep 22, 2016 im sorry i cant talk to you anymore....you basically are giving police officers the right to k--- innocent people and i just cant agree with that
Sep 22, 2016 that's pretty ignorant but okay you're acting like they're ganging up and conspiring and picking people out to execute in cold blood what do you think they should do? wait to get shot at first before firing back? if they see a situation they try and diffuse it with the least number of casualties possible, i don't see how letting someone wacked out of their mind on drugs that alter their reality reach for and secure a potential weapon in a public area is a better alternative. what about someone who opens fire in a shopping mall? should they just wait for him to run out of ammo, tackle him, then bring him to trial to see if he's guilty?
Sep 22, 2016 ignoring everything i said and summarizing it as "you are giving cops a free pass to k--- people" is pretty ignorant, and so is suggesting a cop should have to eat a bullet before he can diffuse a situation
