    if you guys want to create negativity then go for it might as well add a rep system too so that all the new members can get negged and leave after a few days

    I understand the example, but if a posts gets disliked 15 times, it was probably inappropriate or against forum rules and a mod should either edit/delete the post anyways.

    True, something like 'young thug is a s--- rapper' could easily get 15 dislikes even tho it's within the rules

    another reason is something some1 else mentioned, dislikes kills the forum. instead of actually arguing and having meltdowns, ppl just downvote when they disagree and dont reply unless its top quality bait. id rather have ppl reply with "kys" than lazy downvotes

    ive used a lot of different forums and the ones w downvotes, like RG & reddit are among the worst of them all

    Just to be clear, i don't think dislikes is a good idea. I was just saying Koolo's 15 dislikes example wouldn't be necessary to hide a post if it was inappropriate or against forums rules. If it's going to hide someone's post, then anyone else after that comes into the thread after it's disliked 15 times won't see it unless they reveal it, just like if you ignoring a person right now.
