Oct 29, 2016It's expensive to play. You have to have the right equipment so you don't die. Soccer is more popular worldwide because all you need is a ball and a penchant for flopping when no one touches you

My favorite argument is when people say, "Oh, those Americans and their pads, what a bunch of p-----s." If they didn't wear that s---, they would literally k--- each other on the field. It's not like rugby and s--- in other countries, these NFL players are a whole different level of freak.Fitzy, Ordinary Joel, Worm and 2 others like this. -

The point is you f---ing r----- is that if our athletes played soccer their whole lives like the other countries players, it would be a different story. All of our best athletes are playing other sports.Guma, Fitzy, Boos and 1 other person like this. -

Yeah, I mean, rugby is a tough a--- sport, but for the most part the collisions are a lot slower. You're not running full speed into a guy the majority of the time.

I never said that lol, don't spin my words. My point is is that American football requires a higher level of toughness than most sports. In the NFL, you have 250 pound guys + pads who can run a 4.6 40 aiming to take your head off. I played Football for 8 years, a lot of the kids I grew up playing with didn't last because they couldn't handle it.Trackz, Fitzy, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this. -

I stopped giving a s--- about this years ago, I've played competitive soccer my entire life and you learn to really respect any and all athletes no matter the sport since the training and mental aspect of it is incredibly demanding.
Football can certainly--and is--growing in popularity in other countries. I think it's more sociological stigmas from people across the globe have about the USA, that and other sports like Rugby have long standing traditions and are hard to really replace.Ordinary Joel, Poohdini and dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl like this. -
