    After several setbacks & delays, Post Malone’s highly anticipated debut album, Stoney, finally has a release date. On Wednesday night, the “White Iverson” rapper took to IG to announce that the album will be available for pre-order on iTunes starting this Friday (11/4), while sharing its album cover & release date in the process, which will be December 9th.

    Back in September, Post revealed that he’s been working with the likes of Kanye West (hopefully for the album), Metro Boomin,Pharrell, Kehlani, Quavo & good friend Justin Bieber.

    This album is legitimately great. The hip-hop/folk fusion works perfectly. I know Cole just dropped but don't let him make you sleep (lmao) on this because it's much better. Post the gawd taking over.

    like i havent digested not one song, i don't even know where these songs stop and end tbh. but i got it on as background music while i study for finals, and every now and then i'll zone in and vibe.

    i finally heard the yelawolf comparisons tho, feeling whitney the most exposure i'll ever have to being white trash in my life

    I wasn't looking for him to drop a classic either, but as @Fire Squad said Post has a dope aesthetic and the album holistically does not live up to that. It all blends together without being cohesive which is a huuuuuuge detractor for me. Like, I've listened to it twice and I can't remember what any of the non-singles sound like off the top of my head except Broken Whiskey Glass because it's the most memorably bad. And songs like White Iverson and Go Flex and Too Young being on there disjoint the album for me because I've heard them outside the context of the album so many times -- that might just be a me thing, and I try to avoid listening to singles much before full albums drop for that reason, but White Iverson was unavoidable. August 26th isn't that great, but it s--- to an aesthetic and it feels like a complete project, whereas Stoney does not feel like an album at all to me. It feels like a bunch of B-Sides better left on the cutting room floor put on shuffle with all his singles.

    Yeah the all the singles are comfortably up in the top half of the album. I really like the start with Broken Whiskey Glass and Big Lie, I reckon they're on the same caliber as the singles. But I feel like this album is a bit repetitive, doesn't mix up his melodies that often.
