Nov 6, 2016Eminem has less influence on the sound/direction of hip hop and has had more of an "inspiration" role. He's influenced people to rap, but not necessarily influenced them HOW to rap.

this is my 1st comment in this forum. I am from bangladesh. I dont know what's eminem's influence in USA in hip hop scene now a days but let me tell you popularity wise eminem is one of the most well known global artist in my country. in our country people generally like mostly rock music, metal music and classical music. but if people know one rapper, its eminem. Drake or kanye west or future these artists may be more popular in there now a days but out here nobody listen to them. just wanted to share my view. i hope nobody will get offended. thank you(This ad goes away when signing up) -

- The need for Pop singers in introspective crossover tracks, to appeal to the masses.
- Flows, come on now do I need to give examples? EMCEES in this decade are forever changed in how they flow since Em came out
- Rhyme schemes, no explanation needed
- Making the usage of alter egos viable for artistic expression, for both the sake of parody and to generate controversy of reflecting America’s own hypocritical ideologies

On the flip side he's always existed outside of hip hop's influence and always just did his own thing. Perhaps that plays a role? Since he's never really followed trends he's never really been pressured to innovate because what he's doing is outside of what mainstream hip hop is anyway? Idk.dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, Goldy and rapmusik like this. -
