I still consider Trump unqualified and what not, but the fact that he dropped that line about protecting the LBGTQ community already gives me some hope. It speaks to what he attacked Hillary for saying about having public and private policies. He would never have campaigned on an issue like that. Here's to unraveling his the Trump enigma in the coming months and years.

fam, trump has blatantly lied all throughout his campaign and said whatever people supporting him wanted to hear, there's no telling that this is any different. so i'll believe it when i see it

for now it's worrying as f--- to have him as a president, but even more worrying to have mike pence as a vp. he's a disaster for lgbt rights, and the fact that trump is in the position to change up the supreme court in a major way over the course of his term is very very f---ing unsettling, especially when paired with more republican control in the government now

you should actually look into mike pence's past on the issue, and also look at some supposed plans from the pair regarding these issues before acting like it's all going to be okay, because rn, realistically? it's not

there is every chance that this change in government/presidency will absolutely piss all over the social progress we've made recently

I'm willing to bet Trump will have the highest approval rating of any president ever in a few years. Now that this ugly election is over I think we will see a different side of him. Love him or hate him I'm actually starting to believe he has Americas best interest at heart. At least I hope.

I agree with the last part but I don't know about highest approval rating, think a lot of people hate him so strongly right now that they may never even give him a real chance and will automatically hate him forever.

But yeah I'm sure some will change their minds over time, just not sure how many.

Democrats can thank their superdelegates for losing this election. If Bernie Sanders were running against Trump, I have a feeling this would be much different.

Just videos of protests and non-stop "poor me" stuff, which is fine, if I were a minority I would feel uncomfortable for the moment too, but the non-stop tweeting about one subject is annoying lol. There's nothing we can do right now and tweeting solves nothing.

didn't vote. hated both candidates, 3rd party was a joke and i live in CT where my vote essentially doesn't count (it was going democratic no matter what.) i know i'm probably wrong and ppl will hate me for it but if i'm not in a swing state (i'm not) my vote feels meaningless. i understand the need for the electoral college but it definitely is part of the reason why so many people don't vote.
