Nov 21, 2016 I'm not taking anything a way from him, but it's not like he's in the studio crafting beats by himself like Nizzy was trying to say lol
Nov 21, 2016 ah didn't bother reading what nizzy said. usually the same old s--- anyway. sales, melodies, hooks
Nov 22, 2016 I bet the next eminem album we get is infinite remastered by the blues brothers, not a new material album until late 2017. I did like the first remastered one they put out, vintage vibes and probably better then any thing post relapse and maybe HTS
Nov 23, 2016 Underground also cant have been from 2007. Listen to the flow and voice. I think maybe the hook and beat from elevator mightve been from 2006-2007 though
Nov 23, 2016 Eminem has said multiple times in interviews about Relapse that the only song that dates back prior to his getting sober was Beautiful when he wrote the first verse in rehab. Earliest Relapse could have dated back was in 2008 during his Hawaii sessions with Dr, Dre,
Nov 23, 2016 Careful what you wish for and my darling were clearly pre relapse Listen to the voice and the one line in Careful What you Wish For... "8 years later I'm still at it". 8 years from 1999 = 2007. The hook also sounds similar to the apple hook in terms of how it's mixed. And that's from 2007 as well
Nov 26, 2016 Eminem said with his own mouth that he had Relapse done and only needed Dre for a few songs, 3 maybe and he flew out there. Well that ended up turning into 6 months. He said after the 6 months they had enough material for 3 albums but they cut it down to 2. Baring in mind he only needed Dre for a few songs, the rest were already done so that's a lot of songs considered for Relapse 1 and 2. I've no doubt that So Bad from Recovery came from those sessions too. But quite a few came from 2007. I wish I had the document showing the recording dates for many of the songs. Quite a few of songs that ended up on the Relapse/Refill albums came from 2007. And he said Beatiful was the only song dating back to before he got sober and Jeff Bass confirmed that, Jeff Bass said that was the last song he ever did with Marshall. But a lot of fans tend to forget that Eminem was still recording in 2006/2007/2008. I don't know the dates for his rehab stint but he could have been completely clean and sober for most of 2007 or at the very least the last 6 months of it.
Nov 26, 2016 let me know if you find that document because I'm 90% sure that all songs were 2008 except for My Darling, Careful What You Wish For, Beautiful, maybe parts of Elevator, maybe parts of Underground. His overdose happened in December of 2007, so it wouldn't have made sense for any of his "sober" music to come from before that.
Nov 27, 2016 It is sad how much of that is 100% false. It's like reading those crappy articles talking about his new album being called Success.
Nov 27, 2016 Prove it is 100% false. People seem to think Eminem had this big hiatus, he relapsed, he was in rehab, he did this and he did that and all the rest of it. People forget that Eminem was doing features in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He was on Shade 45 on 2005 2006 and 2007 and he came back in October 2008 with his book and announced the album. It's not like the world hadn't heard from him in years. At a push you could maybe say 1 year, 1 year without hearing him on a song with someone else or you'd probably need to be a die hard fan to have heard him on Shade 45. Go and read Jeff Bass interviews. He says himself what he did in the studio and that this is why Marshall stopped working with him. Mark and Jeff Bass also hadn't worked together in years. They do their own things, they don't even work at the same studios in Detroit. This is factual information, this isn't lies. Go in the Discography thread, go and see the OFFICIAL material Eminem released in 2005, 2006, 2007 and you'll see all the things he did in those years. Was it stuff that made headlines? No. Was it stuff that was in the charts and being played in clubs? No. But he was still recording and he was still active on his own radio station. I will try and find that document because it showed the months and years some of the songs were recorded, I'm not saying they were all in 2007, most were 2008 but not all. People have the timeline wrong also. And if you go back to 2008 and LISTEN to what Eminem said out of his own mouth he will tell you he had Relapse done. When he was writing again he was writing without beats and he got to a point where he told Dre that was writing again and wanted to record and I think he said Dre said "it's about time", he had Relapse done on his own, he never said how long it took him buthe said he needed Dre for a few songs which he always did, Dre always produced a few songs on all his albums. He said those few songs, I think he said a week or weekend in LA ended up being 6 months and because of the way he was writing and the way his voice was, he couldn't write the songs as quick as he used to and his voice couldn't handle recording everyday so it was one day on one day off. Him and Dre in seperate rooms. Dre making the beats, him writing the rhymes, the next day he would record, after that the next day he would write, the next day he would record and that was how they worked. That was also when the reports came out that Elton John was in Detroit for several days and people had assumed he was visiting Eminem. He said they had enough material for 3 albums, he didn't say if that was just the Dre material or all of it added together and they would release 2 albums, Relapse 1 and 2 and they would be released by the end of 2009. Obviously people on the internet, like on here and a few other places which I wont mention ruined that, ruined that happening so he ended up Recording Recovery a year later. The Refill album was obviously a way of getting the best of that material out there, apart from Forever, all those songs were recorded during the Relapse sessions. I don't think any of it was filler. I really believe those songs really were the best of the bunch that they had left or they at least thought they were the best.
Nov 27, 2016 I know you've written a thesis but Marshall said on Shade 45 when 3AM came out that the album was done by Dre sitting in one room making the beats and him in another writing and recording lyrics. With the exception of beautiful the whole album was done that way. That's what you said eh
