i don't see how people can not appreciate she's mine

i understand saying "its not some s--- i will listen to all the time"

but you at least should recognize and appreciate that its two great songs and a great concept and extremely well-done musically

4real tho, and its dope that most people agree on it

4yeo title track is the pinnacle of a cole storytelling track, its like all his best ones, as poohdini said like 2face, plus 3 wishes, can i holla at ya, 03 adolescense, etc etc put into one song

it just comes together so perfectly, the lyrics of course, the concept, the beat, the vibe ... like you can't find a flaw with it ... 8 minutes that u just get lost in ...

i just hope the general public and rap critics will realize this like the fans do tho and the song will get its rightful appreciation

It's hard to admit it but I was on a flight back and I shed a tear dawg...

Like I got lost in the album, I could see my mans telling Cole that he was gonna die. Started thinking about the girl on Ville Mentality and how she said "I wish my dad was here" and I lost it.... it was so moving, it was a moment I realized Cole was more than a rapper... he a f---ing Poet!

On the realest s--- yes... I had to start writing it all down. Cause it was so heavy. I couldn't lost the moment.

It's crazy to me that the album work back and forth. Like you could play it from end to start and it almost seems better...

bro thats exactly one of the first things i was going to say ... is i don't think the story is 100% chronological, well at least the intro thats for sure ... i think theres some flashbacks and forwards but of course the title track is the end

I like how it goes threw different view points.

At one point it His homie talking about how hard life is and the stresses that comes with staying a float. And next it's Cole talking about the trial he faces as a man and in a life of fame and normalness..

and then next it's the homie talking about how life is better now that his daughter is there...

but suddenly it Cole talking about how our society has trapped his people and left them with no option but to be the same thing his homie is trying to escape...

f---ing wild bro...

one cool thing i wanna mention quick tho is how vital some of the background vocals are, one of the reasons why this is really first and foremost a headphone album (cause u don't even hear some of these things if u not listening with headphones) ...

one of these times is in the background of ville mentality hook

u can hear the cliche rap statement ("can't stop won't stop") in the background of the hook ... "can't stop now, won't stop now" ... technically used for people saying "they can't stop won't stop hustling" ... which is also true in this case but he's more using it to say the street guy (and also cole) "can't stop won't stop" having the ville mentality

its like he's saying "can't stop now, won't stop now" hustling hard to make it, but then also that once use made it u still have that mentality and "can't/won't stop" having that mentality
