I know people are entitled to their opinion, but I honestly don't get how some people dont like this album. If I remove the nostalgia feeling from his mixtapes, this is Cole's best work to date. I say that because yes, FNL and TWU have amazing songs, but as great as those mixtapes are: they are just not cohesive all the way through and honestly they are kind of too long (which is cool because they are just mixtapes).

The only thing wrong with really wrong with Fantano is how he harps/lingers on certain little detials to a fault. He did the same thing with the came "fast like 911 in White Neighborhoods," where he expected some social commentary when its just a simple metaphor. With this album he seemed to be calling certain lines filler. With the Deja Vu intro (put your finger in the sky) I feel him 100% but when he went in on the "before my very eyes, should come as no surprise" line on For whom the bells tolls as just "filler" it was just too much. That line is fine especially in the context of the whole project having premonition vibes but to each his own.

Kind of interested to know what deadendhiphop thinks about it. I know beezy a big Cole fan, wonder what his take will be on the album since it's different from anything Cole has done in the past and he experimented on this album.

And he likes short projects too. This is why I f--- with DEHH more than Fantano because they sit with an album for at least 5 days before giving a review. I really only watch for Mykc but at least when he doesn't like something, it doesn't seem like a personal vendetta. And gives credit to good things on albums even if it's not for him. I only really look forward to them and Big Quint.

Yeah DEHH reviews are dope because even if there is something they don't like about an album they constructively criticize it and also reinforce what they liked about the album. Plus it's 4 different points of view with them, so it isn't just one person's opinion.

I bought the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X today, and this album is even better lol. Can hear the background vocals and sounds so much clearer. That last verse on change is even better now when you hear all the background voices

Cole has progressed sonically and showcased his storytelling abilities. The evolution is clear on 4YEO.

Album 5 would be really dope if it contained all hits and bangers that are still lyrical. FHD on roids...and no singing unless it's from an r&b singer. A self-titled album would even be fitting. Or a title that doesn't relate to a concept.

Cole did say a few months back that it's his last show for awhile. I have a feeling there is another project to come in 2017. He'll tour a few months after that most likely. All he could really add to his set in terms of getting the crowd hype is Immortal, Deja Vu, and Neighbors. Project 5 confirmed hits and bangers.

In other news I make my coaching debut tonight. Not expecting much really. Just as long as they hustle and have good sportsmanship then it's all good. Two 9th graders that would've helped the JV team are strictly playing varsity :/ so I'm left with a crew of misfits. f--- it, we'll do our best!!
