Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), who comes home to the community she grew up in with her sight restored. Some hail her a miracle, others a dangerous mystery, but Prairie won't talk about her seven years missing with the FBI or her parents.

    Anyone here watching this? Thoughts?

I just finished watching everything. This s--- was so f---ing weird, ending was pretty corny as well. I'm not sure if I liked it or not

Also Naz from The Night Of is in this. Aka Riz MC from Swet Shop Boys. Phyllis from The Office is in this too.

I'm on the 5th episode. Not sure what to make of this, moves a little too slow.

I'm on the 5th episode too. Brit Marling is one of my favorite actors right now. I love Another Earth and Sound of My Voice. Need to rewatch The East again, but this is very much in the same vein as many of Marling's movies.

I can see how some people either don't get it, or think it's too slow/abstract. I think it's similar in a lot of ways to Sound of My Voice and Upstream Color.

I really liked this. Finished it in 2 days. Got a little weird towards the end, but I like weird.. especially when it comes to s--- like this.

I love it when Netflix puts out shows like these. Loved Stranger Things.. had no real idea what it was about when it came out and now this. These kinda shows literally pause the rest of my life for me.

Overall, wasn't really into it. Maybe I need to do a rewatch. The parts that kept me intrigued were Khatun (and that intergalactic room) and the fate of the prisoners. The Angel angle, the goofy dance moves, the big event in the finale, the kids (with the exception of Alfonso and his drunk mother) were not that interesting to me. Before I started watching this, some news outlets were comparing this to Stranger Things. Without a doubt, Stranger Things > The OA. Again, maybe I'll appreciate it more on a rewatch but for now, not really rocking with this one.

I was really conflicted by the show. Not just the plot of the story, but the show overall. I feel that many people aren't going to care for it, which, ya know, whatever, some people will like it, others won't... but I honestly don't think I want another season.

I feel like the whole point of the show was to be conflicted. I kind of saw the outcome before it hit. Not the scene in the cafeteria, but that climax. So I guess the show's effect was, well, effective. I am, indeed, conflicted.

Have you watched Sound of My Voice, or Another Earth, or I, Origins? I feel like they're very similar in tone and theme and if you enjoyed those at all The OA is at least worth the watch.

If you're curious at all about The OA, watch Sound of My Voice. Same writer/director as The OA, and stars Brit Marling.
