    nah, same quality all around as far as i know (mayb that invite only tier tho? but idk how i'd go about testing that, and it doesn't rly help regardless since invite only)

    i think it just comes down to keeping the freqs. of your highs in check and experimenting with what soundcloud seems to think is fine during the conversion. i've slowly gotten mine to sound more clear and less distorted, but it's still annoying as f---. it's changed the way i do my hats eqs and things like piano etc.

    swear there's not a quicker way to make a producer feel insecure about their skills than hearing the hats on your new jawn distorted because of SC :wow2:

    never gnna let soundcloud dictate a 18khz shelf, thats a lot of frequencies missing

    (i dont rly feel insecure about my skills tho im spoiled by expensive plugins that do most of my work for me w presets lol)

    yea, it is, so i never waned to either

    but i mean, there has to be a way to make it work rite? s--- from big name artists goes on SC all the time and sounds completely fine.. so it's just gotta come down to the process i think

    i've gotten a lot better at beating SC at their distortion bs lately, like on this 1



    but it varies for me... sometimes it just seems like certain hats in particular want to cause me issues on SC, while others work pretty well without many changes. rly wish there was another platform other than SC to utilize for this kind of thing, one that didn't fk around with the freqs like this

    found an analyser and run a couple songs through it, one that the hats get f----- up on more and that feel it song i posted above

    thats like ruining the tracks for sc so they dont do it, i was thinking like use the analyzer on a track b4 uploading, then download it through soundcloud to see what they did to the file

    ahhhhhhhh. now i get what you meant earlier

    and i mean, maybe i'll turn the cutoff off and try it out sometime, but for now i'm not rly bummed or anythin about losing those freqs in my songs. there's probably next to no difference because i've produced around them on those songs

    i'd have to try it out on a new one

    this is huuuge for the sound quality. even if none of your elements have important frequencies above the shelf, there should always be white noise up to 22.1khz.
