Donald Trump literally ran his entire campaign on being an “outsider” who was going to “drain the swamp” in Washington lol. Your defense of “but-but all politicians lie!” really doesn’t work here lol.

Let’s get something clear: just because politicians in general do lie, doesn’t mean they get a pass for lying lol. That doesn’t mean we just make it acceptable & move on. They should be held accountable for the promises they make or break. Secondly, when you run your entire campaign on “the system” being corrupt & “the establishment” being out of touch — yes, you deserve to be held to higher standards than your average politician. Trump embodies everything he preached against on the campaign trail. He’s literally become the establishment lol.

We’re honestly just arguing semantics here though, can anyone *honestly* defend trump proposing to cut billions of dollars from programs that provide healthcare for the elderly, disabled & poor? Like, how is that good for the country?

While politicians lie out of their a--- in general with certain promises or policies that never get fulfilled, it's an even bigger stab in the back to your core supporters when you're not just backflipping on a particular promise, but you're actively becoming what your voters voted against for to get you elected

This is only partially true, and in several respects laughable (especially on the subject of immigration), but go on you little snoot.

At the very least, the poor won't necessarily be adversely affected since these cuts will be coupled with sharp tax relief.

People in this thread might take your criticisms of Trump more seriously though if you weren't so nakedly one-sided. The fact that you hold Obama up as some sort of virtuous ideal to aspire to, despite brutally f---ing over the middle class and being basically a Bush clone with more melanin in his skin, is evidence to me that you don't actually feel strongly about these issues at all. Your mind has become so jaundiced against all things Trump by constant mass media indoctrination that anti-Trumpism has become almost a sort of de facto religion for you. It's sad to watch, really.

Since when did ending DACA equate to mass deportation? Trump is not an immigration hardliner as many people, both for and against him, projected him to be. He's a Manhattan business Democrat lol.

Trump was right (and within his executive authority, by the way) to refer it to the legislature for a long-term solution. Obama was a moron and a bad president for never working with the legislature and always trying to govern by executive order.
