Right. He had already served half his sentence by the time ICE started up his deportation proceedings. The f----- up part too is that he has PTSD from his 2 tours in Afghanistan. That’s what pushed him towards drugs & thus this conviction.

Nope. He should do jail time. He already served half his sentence.

not sure I have ever heard of PTSD causing people to sell 2 pounds of cocaine

Nope. He should do whatever the authorities ask of him because he did not obey the laws of the country.

"I have PTSD i use drugs"
    yeah, normal.

"I have PTSD and it forced me to sell 2 pounds of cocaine"
hmmm no PTSD does not work like that.

He also suffered from drug & alcohol addiction likely due to the PTSD. He has no prior history with drugs before his service.

wow that is so bad I would totally feel sorry for him if he had a cocaine addiction, but trying to sell 2 pounds of cocaine is marginally different.

No? What part of me saying he should do jail time, did you not understand? This is a guy who fought for our country & because of that, his mental health totally deteriorated. PTSD + drug addiction + alcohol addiction = stupid decisions = trying to sell 2 pounds of cocaine.

You don’t think his PTSD and drug addiction played any part in him selling drugs? If so then we can just end the convo here. You guys are borderline trolling with the whole “PTSD doesn’t make you sell drugs.” Yeah, obviously fucken not but the guy was *clearly* not in the right state of mind. He was not mentally or physically healthy.

you don't be a drug addict and have 2 pounds of cocaine to sell. that doesn't happen. he was a dealer who also used.

btw this is 2 pounds/1 kilo
    [IMG]
possibly, but probably not much. More than likely his own usage and alcohol addiction normalized illegal things to him.

no i am borderline being the most serious i have ever been on this site. PTSD does not lead you to sell drugs. that's not what PTSD does. Maybe it slightly contributed to it, but people suffering from PTSD would be more likely to avoid d--- dealing, rather than opt for it. They avoid triggering situations.

    nor was Stephen Paddock

The only "r-----ed" part of this argument is acting like this kid wasn't a f---ing loser before he joined the military. America, it's time to have that hard conversation about our military. Best of the best never applies to a volunteer. What percentage of people joining actually have a better avenue in life? 10%? Everyone I know who joined did it because they had no choice or for the money, while thinking they would never have to risk their life.

I love the military recruitment commercials where it shows soldiers doing a bunch of cool s--- with advanced technology and stuff, but in reality everyone would just be shi--ing their pants from being shot at and scared to death.

At my school quite a few of the brighter kids joined the military. It really depends on the division and where youre at. The ones I knew who joined were all charismatic, intelligent and had a good head on their shoulders. Friends with them till this day, just cause the hick f---s from your town joined doesnt mean it represents majority of the military.

There are always outliers with every topic. Typically what I've seen is if you are joining the Marines, you are of a higher education level, but the other branches, especially Army, tend to be grunts. Just because you had had 2 friends who joined the military, doesn't mean the majority are well educated. Military people tend to be great citizens, but why do we have to act like they are the best and brightest?

Edit: For the record, I have family in the Air Force (very smart), Army (smart but wasn't when he joined) and friends who joined the Coast Guard just for the check. Both very smart guys but had no intention of ever laying their life on the line.

So much for “finding the best people.” This cabinet is entirely different from the day he took office. Unrecognizable lol.

David Shulkin accusing the trump administration for pushing him out for political reasons. Hmmm... that sounds awfully familiar.
