They're willing to put it on hold because they have completed their testing and testing is no longer needed because they believe they have created a ballistic missle that will work when needed. I am very weary on how fast he changed his tune to this issue. He has other plans. I read one of the stipulations to put the tests on hold, is if the US removes all of their troops from South Korea. He has plans for what he's doing, I believe. Hopefully I'm wrong though and I can actually give Trump props for something.

Not really. Outside of trump being a ridiculous candidate, Clinton was trying to win the presidency after democrats had already controlled the White House for 8 years. Very rare does a party control the White House for 8+ years in a row.

The last time a party controlled the White House for 8+ years in a row was 20+ years ago (Regan/HW Bush). The last time democrats controlled the White House for 8+ years in row was like 50 years ago (FDR/Truman).
