I could only imagine if a store had that about obama. Riots would erupt and buildings would be destroyed while they steal s--- out of the store windows blm breaks. Blm would support people starting fires too.

I’m all for a respective protest, but destroying your own city does nothing but make things worse and only makes police even more mad at you.

Idc for trump myself but the media is picking apart anything they can about trump to the point it’s getting kind of annoying. I actually feel bad for Melania being stuck in this too. She just seems half depressed and doesn’t deserve the black lash she gets too. She obviously married him for the money imo, there’s no way she is physically attracted To trump and not letting him hold her hand at times shows their relationship isn’t the best.

And honestly been liking some of trumps moves helping medical marijuana becoming available for patients who need it and making business moves for the US. The dude is half a narcissist, not denying that.

You can speculate about Trump's intent until you're blue in the face, but the fact is the travel ban does not explicitly bar Muslims. And even if it did, so what? We are not abusing anyone or any group by not letting them come into the country. Contrary to what Lopez Obrador and your social Marxist friends at the NYT say, it is not a human right to be able to be granted entry into the US, or any other place for that matter. This has happened before, it's not without precedent. Obama temporarily banned Iraqi refugees from coming in while he fiddled around with the system for admission. Jimmy Carter banned Iranians from coming into the country for a time. You might argue it was for benevolent or pragmatic reasons as opposed to "discrimination," but the point is that countries should be able to determine within their sovereignty who does or does not arrive on their shores, no matter whose feelings are supposedly hurt. It's just the way it is.

Muslim extremists*. In any case, this is a temporary ban. You're objectively wrong here.

But I would go a step further than Trump in saying Islam in general, not just "radical Islamic terrorism," is incompatible with Western values. A permanent Muslim ban would be perfectly fine by me, but this ban is neither permanent nor does it specifically or explicitly ban Muslims. You might try to argue that it implicitly does so, but that's a subjective argument.

You're leaving out a crucial part of his statement in order to create a lie by omission. Weak. The sentence doesn't end where you put the period. Either use an ellipsis to show you're not completely dishonest or quote the sentence in its entirety: "[I am] calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the h--- is going on." If Trump's aim is to "discriminate" against Muslims by keeping them out of the country for bigoted reasons, as you claim, what good would a TEMPORARY travel ban do?—which isn’t even a Muslim ban since it does not ban Muslims from countries not on the list but does ban non-Muslims from listed countries. Again, there is precedent for US presidents issuing (temporary) travel bans. If Trump is a bigot for doing it, then so is Obama. No, that's not "whataboutism" before you use that stupid word; it's me calling you a hypocrite since you have defended him for doing the same thing.

Actually it can. It can prevent possible Muslim bombers that were brainwashed growing up into bombing US territory. I think we need a better system in place to do research on the Muslims coming over and what their job currently is, in their country. Like Muslim college students coming over for a college degree, i have no problem with. Including educated Muslims that are doctors, etc.

Now let’s say the government researches a person and it’s clear they’re an extremist or had family and any possible related ties to Isis, then no they get rejected and can’t travel over. I think a permanent ban maybe only allowing college students, doctors would be fine. As well as other Muslims who proved they were good, hard working citizens when living in the Middle East. And like Webber said in a above post I believe, Obama has done a Muslim ban before too. There are times when it would be necessary. You can’t deny that.

To shut the neolibs down on this issue all you have to do is invoke Europe's migrant crisis. Something like 80-90% of refugees there are on the dole, 90-95% of the rapes in Sweden and Germany are from migrants, etc. This is why 70% of Europeans see the rapid Muslim population growth as a serious threat and 78% favor a Trump-style immigration ban. If the Democrats got their way on immigration in this country, we'd be royally f-----. They literally think we need to be more like Europe, where being constantly harassed, blown up and hit by trucks is the norm.

You have a higher chance of being killed by a lightening strike than a refugee from any of the Muslim countries in the travel ban. There is no rationale/justification for this ban. The refugee process is already extremely rigorous. And no, obama did not have a Muslim ban.​
