Because it didn't last and everyone losing their s--- has maybe 10% of the facts. It was done in haste and implemented very poorly.

What's annoying is that in today's society, posting on Facebook and sharing a news article is considered "action". It's fake as f---.

that's a red herring; there have been more in-person demonstrations this month than there have been since--when?

I'm willing to bet that the ratio of people who attend them to the amount of people who are social media activists is astoundingly low.

again, this literally doesn't matter. it's totally tangential to any meaningful discussion of policy.

    because history started in 1970
    interesting, wich ones?

There isn't "one" kind of Islam. Did you know there's a huge feminsim muslim movement, that gay imams exist in europe, and that islam exists for centuries in eastern european countries like bosnia herzegovina, and is their the first religion? And that gay sex, for example, is legal there, while it isnt in very christian countries like poland and ireland?

Sure there are a lot, a majority, of muslim countries that are not socially advanced, where the separation of church and state still causes a enormous problem, that the treatment of minorities in most islamic states is catastrophic, but thinking thats all due to one kind of islam that is inherently uncompatible with western values, that causes, just because of the religion, an incompibality with our occidental world is wrong, period.

Obama paused the Iraqi refugee program for 6 months.

Don't necessarily agree with it, as I think it might actually piss off these countries but who cares what I think? Trump does lots of things I don't really agree with - whether it be the wall or these ballsy statements about tariffs that may lead to trade war. These decisions go beyond me, beyond everyone protesting at these airports. Trump is doing what he said he would do. So what. Saudi Arabia and the other surrounding middle eastern countries should be taking almost all of the refugees.

That's because Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and UAE ... don't register Syrians as refugee ... they let them in as immigrants.... matter of fact Saudi Arabia reported in 2015 getting 2.5 Million Syrian refugees (and they pay them money for living aka well fare)

that was 2015, we are in 2017, I don't know how much they have

    check ur facts bro

I know they say that, but all serious ONG's say it's untrue. I'd like to research it more but all I can find is mainstream media and human rights watch or UN saying they don't take any in, and saudi n Qatar officials saying they absolutely do. Do you have a less biased source in favor of the gulf states than the foreign minister of saudi arabia himself?

There seems to be some confusion there, I have read conflicting reports on Saudi Arabia taking in the refugees. There were already Syrians in Saudi Arabia prior to the crisis.

Of course Islamophobia exists, populist european parties use it very obviously as a campaigning tool, people saying hallal food and veiled women contribute unconsciously to terrorism are very present here and if you think that's not a fear of islam, not just muslims, then you are, sorry to tell you, an islamophobe.

Why are you still quoting this? You're being annoying.

I do think veiled women is a sign of the oppression in Islam. I don't like it, they are free to do it if they want but I don't have to like it.

Islamophobia does not exist. There are legitimate criticisms to be had of ISLAMISM, like any religion/ideology. I'm tired of talking to you about this.
