No one is stopping him from going to speak else where or upload a video online. Some people don't deserve that platform (to speak at a public university). There are numerous well-educated and accomplished conservatives out there that Berkeley could have invited and it would have been fine. Milo is not one of them.

On the one hand, we should be mindful of bratty academics snubbing different points of view.

On the other, some points of view are toxic AND deserve to be reprimanded publicly -- if there's an organic backlash, it's def within the community's right to tell that guy to GTFO. Afterall, I thought these POS had all the platform they needed/wanted on their silly, awful conservative blogs? Why do they want to talk at such a biased, liberal bastion anyhow

The alt right is taking the path of least resistance "redpilling" themselves and become traditional anti-Semitic neo-nazis... and seeing how it's been discovered that Milo's mom is Jewish... So every speaker a university invites has to be representative of the entire student body? if someone's not a member of the conservative club they could just...not buy tickets to the talk?

Milo's just an annoying attention-seeking troll but I don't see why he should be banned from speaking to clubs who invite him.

The line should be drawn at speakers who advocate violence. KKK advocate violence, Milo Yiannopoulos doesn't.

He's advocated that "conversion therapy works for some people" and that "we can really see if it works" since trump is president. That's a pretty thin line he's treading on if that's not advocating for violence.

Sending Milo to Berkeley (the most liberal place in America) was a troll.

However, say Shaun King went to speak in Pell City, Alabama, I don't think we would see the same reaction.

Liberals constantly chastise conservatives for being too stupid to tie their own shoes and then wonder why people vote to extremes. Where is the real rebellion?
