Handel won the seat 51.9% to 48.1%. That's a 19.6 point swing to the left. I'll take that. Dems aren't suppose to be competitive in these districts yet they are.

What does this have to do with anything? Dems are being competitive in red districts partially due to DT being so unpopular.

Two of the U.S.'s top intelligence officials reportedly told Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team that Trump requested that they publicly deny that there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. They found the request extremely odd and uncomfortable.

    Trump also tweeted this today:

'I got the Russians fixing the election for me, but that d--- Obama was in office at the time so it's all his fault!'

Lol I don't like the guy but d--- he's hilarious, unintentionally at times. I haven't even slept in like a day and am half asleep but reading that tweet made me lol more than anything all week tbh.

perfect example of Trump's dumbfuck logic

he won't even say that Russia interfered (he says "if"), even though we all know they did

but if he accepts the premise that they DID interfere, he blames Obama rather than Russia :S

The best part is that he's publicly acknowledged that Russia meddled in our election. I guess he changes his mind depending on how he feels when he gets up lol

Donald Trump is a lot easier to understand if you just realize that to him, everything is about HIM, and the extent to which he WINS. Any sane minded individual takes the Russia hacking seriously regardless of party affiliation. Trump, though, is a delusional narcissist whose ego trumps all

To most of us, Russia meddling in our election is a terrifying event with wide-ranging implications. It's something to view soberly if you care about our democracy even a little bit.

To Trump, it's a lingering asterisk - because Russia hacked the Democrats, which helped the Republicans, which means his victory isn't entirely his alone and could be perceived to lack legitimacy. That's unacceptable to him - so it's a hoax/fake news/witch hunt/whatever buzz word fits best into his latest 140-character temper tantrum

I'm worried about this healthcare bill in the senate. Republicans are getting a lot closer to having it passed than I thought they would. The House has already agreed to pass it if the Senate is able to pass it. Right now there are 5 GOP senators that have stated they will not vote for the bill in its current form. Republicans can only afford to lose 2 GOP votes. Some negotiations will have to take place... it's too close for comfort though.

Trump reportedly is considering withdrawing from brokering peace talks between Israelis-Palestinians. Apparently meetings between Kushner and the Palestinian authority didn't go very well.

Trump's travel ban partially reinstated until oral arguments in the fall. That means foreign nationals from selected countries without any "bona fide relationship with any person or entity in the U.S." will be barred from coming into the country. Trump's public statements during the campaign and tweets were not taken into consideration with this ruling.

I find it ridiculous that the Supreme Court did not take into account Trump's public statements. Hopefully after oral arguments, they will take his statements into consideration.

Hey, you can stop nitpicking statistics now. From that very Thehill article you cited:

It's not shocking that people are more concerned about healthcare and other domestic issues than Russian interference. Those issues affect people and their families more directly. That doesn't mean Russian interference isn't an important issue to concentrate on.

There is no if here. Our entire intelligence agency has concluded that Russia meddled with our 2016 election in effort to help Donald Trump get elected. This is fact. There is no debate about this. If you're refuting this, you're refuting the official statements from the entire U.S. intelligence community. What is being investigated and is still in question is whether anyone in Trump's campaign colluded with the Russians. We do not know the answer to that yet. We know multiple people in Trump's campaign met with Russian operatives. We know ex-national security advisor Michael Flynn lied to the Vice President about the nature of his meetings with the Russians and has since asked congress for immunity (which he was denied) and pled the 5th. There is more than enough substance here to warrant a thorough investigation. The investigation into Nixon took 2 years before he was impeached. Allow the process to play out. I don't care much about the congressional investigations; I care more about the special counsel's investigation. Robert Mueller's conclusion is what matters.
