It's already a classic, people just don't know it yet.

I still rate it down a the bottom of his discography. right now I think it's in last place. I don't think I'd pick listening to it over any other Kanye album if given the choices. and I'm not saying it's a bad project either.

But there's something about this album that overall just feels incomplete to me. it doesn't have a definitive identity or concept really (that I've picked up on at least). and I still don't know 100% if 30 Hours and onward is bonus. Yeah he says 30 hours is a bonus in the outro of the song but there's nothing else there to separate them. there's no legitimate 'standard edition' where it ends with wolves. and while the song patches were a kind of cool concept, in the end I just found it more irritating and confusing. I don't think I'm up to date on any of the songs

:idk: maybe I just don't see the big picture yet, but I don't think I'll ever consider it a classic.

It's another piece to Kanye's incredible legacy so yes I do think just how it captured this stage of his career and how it reflects on the soundscape of 2016 it will be remembered as a classic.

Quality wise? I think it's slightly his weakest effort but even then there is so much to love about it; the bizarre sequencing, the shock value and it's variety of sounds still makes it a very good album.

too messy and r-----ed, it'll be discussed a lot by most of the time someone say it's a classic i can almost guarantee some other f-- will be like "WELL on TLOP version 2.7 THIS SONG was much better and without this song, it's NOT a classic"

it'll get heavy discussion but there wont be a unanimous "its a classic"

To add to that: I think a lot of newer Kanye listeners are going to rate it higher than those who have been around since CD. Most people I know who became listeners in the past few years were surprised when I said I'd rank it 5th or 6th in his catalogue.

I agree but also want you to elaborate. Without context it's gonna be hard for people to separate it even though he straight up says that they're bonus tracks. For me it feels exactly like WTT in that everything after Wolves/Why I Love You is a victory lap or encore.

Looking at the ULB to Wolves run, yes. But idk how many accept that after that it's all bonus, and idk how many people weigh the album with bonus tracks included or the whole thing.

The ULB to Wolves run is a potential classic to me. I can elaborate if anyone thinks I'm off base though.

don't think so. I just don't think it's that good and I don't see it making much of an impact/be that influential on music, which I think an classic should. I think it's a great album, but don't see it reaching classic heights.
