    this is the year he takes a step in my opinion, because up until this point he was progressing on the strength of his music alone.

    In regards to 2017, Thug will make bigger strides career wise. From a mainstream point of view his popularity will grow considerably. He's touring Europe with Drake, he has a collaboration with Calvin Harris which will be huge as well as a potential one with Weeknd, plus whatever solo projects he has in store for the remainder of the year as well.
