Feb 13, 2017 My folks listen to 90% Mexican music and another 5% to any other Latino genre. But in my dad's case that remaining 5% was hip-hop, he listened to a lot of Tribe, Outkast & DJ Quik so I remember hearing all that growing up. My biggest influence was certainly my late uncle who pretty much schooled me on everything I know about rap & music in general. His Christmas gifts for me were CDs (Nas' Stillmatic & Daft Punk's Discovery to name a few).
Feb 13, 2017 my dad likes gay AC DC s--- and my mom likes gay poppy s--- when i was 6 i had a burned CD with 2 songs on it they were mambo number 5 and s club 7 i'd put that on repeat while playing the sims 1 after school in grade one for hours on end
Feb 13, 2017 My dad brainwashed me with constant Megadeth and Pantera. I couldn't understand the words at first but by the end of it, it got to the point where I grew my hair long in 8th grade and tried to start mosh pits at recess >_>
Feb 13, 2017 grew up with my parents listening to SoundCloud rappers and I'm glad to say they've made me the peep and --- fan I am today

Feb 13, 2017 well there cacs so i went to the most non cac genre and became a fan but unfortunately my cac roots still engulfed me and i started to listen to aesop rock
Feb 13, 2017 Grew up with my mum listening exclusively to Vietnamese love ballads/wartime songs/opera (shoutout @Nori he knows what I'm on about). So I have a soft spot for that type of stuff. Very melodic and melodramatic. My oldest bro was the catalyst for me to submerge myself in hip-hop. It was the mainstream stuff back then like Fiddy/Eminem and 90s classics. Mainly because he started downloading music back then on dial-up internet and those were the 'it' things to download and listen to. Also a lot of RnB like Usher/Craig David/ATL/Boyz II Men/Omarion.
Feb 14, 2017 My mom had the biggest influence. We'd always listen to music in the car and we listened to all sorts of stuff. I grew up liking your regular Caucasian things, like country and heavy metal but then I grew up and learned to like my own s--- but she showed me diversity in genre. We listened to r&b, hip hop, pop, rock, alt, little bit of everything. We always listened to Metallica, Dixie Chicks, India.Arie, Outkast, and Janet Jackson.
