Feb 23, 2017 Like the title says...I wait for like 1-2 after a post sometimes to see if it elicits a response then parachute out. If I saw someone was typing, I be more apt to stick around . I'm referring more to less active threads, but obviously the feature would apply to all. Sorta like in messenger for FB.

Feb 25, 2017 I never liked this, hard 2 explain but I think it shows to much of someones online presence. You wouldn't know if someone was in a thread but if they typed in it that could implicate them. In a way it could cause a disconnection especially when you wanna say something but then you take it back. I think it could cause drama and kind of an atmosphere where if you type but say nothing you'll feel threatened because people saw u change ur mind. Idk just my thoughts i don't really care tho

Feb 25, 2017 I think I second what Buff said, if it doesn't openly say WHO the user(s) are that are typing I can't see it being a problem adding this feature. Me personally, I like to type s--- out and remove it after I read over it and then type the same s--- all over again and I know numerous other people do the same s---. The current avatar head system doesn't really feel very intrusive to me, it just sits at the bottom and displays the people who are viewing future replies potentially. I also think it would be cool if you didn't directly copy another site and added something like *XX User(s) are writing a reply* instead of the over used is typing bs.
Feb 25, 2017 This also opens the door to some other cool features like another head system at the bottom which displays something like (Users who recently replied) and have this on a like 20 - 30 minute time checker. This could give people an incentive to be actively replying in a thread because it reserves a reward type system of them being acknowledged for replying, even if they're a s--- poster like myself.
Feb 25, 2017 Na you guys are thinking about it wrong. It doesn't have to show WHO is typing... just a simple icon at the bottom whenever anyone is typing would be good enough. All we need to know is that someone is about to post, doesn't matter who. It could be at the bottom where the "live thread" icon was Edit: Lol just read the rest of posts you guys got it Buffalo sucks
