Feb 28, 2017 I'll never understand how commercial rappers like Ludacris, T.I. and Young Jeeezy can come out and drop 3-4 borderline classic albums and then just completely fall of the face of the Earth. How Sway? I miss the commercial rapper.
Feb 28, 2017 Yeah I really miss the 00's era. Eminem was good,50,Game,TI,Kanye,Kanye,Jay,Ludacris,Wayne all released great albums. Not really into many new rappers apart from Young Thug.
Feb 28, 2017 See I can't get into Thug but I love Future. I just miss commercial guys that had the epic first single. What You Know, I Luv It, And Then What, Stand Up >>>>> This forum is so young they won't remember but like T.I. was so f---ing big in 2006. People think Future has had bjg years but they all pale in comparison to what somebody like T.I. did in 2006. I don't know man it's just different now.
Feb 28, 2017 T.I was big in 2006 but I remember after Paper Trail he was huge after Live Your Life & Dead & Gone. He started that trend the Jay came with BP3 & Eminem with Recovery. He started that sound & Paper Trail was much better than those albums. Something else I have noticed that apart from some Kanye's interviews hip hop has become boring because of social media. No beefs or controversy or even interesting interviews everyone just tweets.
Mar 1, 2017 d--- almost forgot about this one. Holy trinity of '01: Blueprint, Stillmatic, The Realness. And Disposable Arts.
Mar 1, 2017 The Realness was dope although I prefer The True Meaning. That was the era of Landspeed Records, lots of great Indie projects were distributed through that company.
Mar 1, 2017 The first time I heard American beauty (forgot who sampled it first) and you don't want it, it was a moment.
