    I know this I am a Young Thug fan but comparing these albums is something I really can't take serious

    ya i mean who doesnt like fantasizing about stabbing their wife for over an hour

    thug: switches between different time signatures and tempos like its nothing

    mnm: boring duplets or unintelligable double time in annoying south park esque voice as usual

    thug: blossoming out of the harsh environments depicted in b6, accepting his born name, paying homage

    mnm: took the album cover on a stage and called it the em show

    em: edgy violent murder for school shooters
    thug: love and family values

    thug: paved the way between the blurred lines of singing and rapping, introducing cadences and soundscapes now used by every mainstream hip hop artist

    tes: inspired white suburban kids to get guns and s---t up schools

    u had 2 be sleeping to not feel the earthquake that jeff left

    impact of tes is it made dre insanely senile

    In all honesty TES my fave Em album.

    But the last time I listened I barely made it through the whole album. It's a great album... just, idk.

    if you were a young thug fan you would have, at the very least, a slight grasp on this conversation.

    instead you're in this thread running around like a chicken with his head cut off with no posts that hold any water. throwing around buzz words and cop outs like "subjective" and "impact" do not help your case.

    it's easy to say you're a thug fan to try and add some credibility to your argument, but you're not.

    Unshackled creativity that shouldn't be defined by taking it out of context, he's amazing at doing that stream of conscious rapping and as a result we get songs that capture every thing that's on his mind.

    As a friend here's a suggestion; don't simply confine rappers by literary elements, evaluate them by their biggest strengths and the context behind their music. Not saying you don't appreciate good music already, but it will certainly teach you to value those little things that makes artists like Thug all the more impressive.

    f--- a case im on my phone waiting for my uber. I'm not in a debatable state. Seeing this thread name alone gives me reason to not even entertain taking this seriously. I thought it was a joke until I clicked on the thread. And however I post does not make me a fan or not a fan of anything. I've been a YT fan since Narsh exposed me to his deeper cuts in 2015. You can't tell me I'm not a fan of someone just because I don't feel the need to expand on a debate

    Its funny because this is the same reason I f--- with Lil Uzi Vert. I don't confine rappers to any type of elements I take what they give me. Yes they have qualities and I recognize their qualities but that doesn't mean I have to excuse the many qualities of one of the best rappers of all time because of it. Jeffrey is not a better album than TES. Jeffrey is a good mixtape and its the most creative he has ever been on a full project but it doesn't match up to the clever thoughtful display of the reality of Em on TES

    well put. this close mindedness is what kept me from thoroughly enjoying thugs music at first. i was looking for faults in his music using other rappers as context. when i took his music simply for what it was i realized how amazing it really was
