Mar 7, 2017 It's arguably the most important album in his whole discography, but its still an experiment with a lot of potential that doesn't feel fully realized. Still seems very hallow.
Mar 7, 2017 @Dew are you listening to TLOP that ends at wolves, or are you listening to the full version
Mar 7, 2017 yeah but that's the thing, i admit it's a great album but it's also the least compelling. everything else has been a marked departure for him, except LR. that doesn't mean it's bad, i just feel like it's a CD part 2
Mar 7, 2017 In hindsight I think he could've done a lot more with the orchestra production. That's not a knock on the album because is amazing. We just all know what he is actually capable of. That's why I'd like to see him maybe re-tcakle LR and 808s
Mar 7, 2017 nah as good as those tracks are (minus facts, and the album version of fade), they're just too far a departure from what he built from tracks 1 through 14 (frank's track). they completely take the air out of the album. i agree that TLOP 1 to 14 is very very good, but where this version successfully walks the line between haphazard and cohesive, the album falls straight in to a blender after frank's track. the full version of TLOP is closer to the bottom of his discography than the top. hard to make a case for it really, i'm interested to see what you come up with without making a massive reach or compromise.
