    Shady Records is a poorly run record label. They either sign acts that can't create much of a buzz (Stat Quo, Cashis, Bobby Creekwater) or can't do more for artists with a solid fanbase (Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf). The best time to sign with that label was in the early 2000s, when artists like D12 and Obie banked off the hype of Em and then 50.

    I don't know about the States, but 50 was much more known in Europe than Kanye tbh. 50 was everywhere back in the day and still to this day his songs are played in the radio.

    50 Cent - is a classic for world pop culture. Kanye - was hipsters idol during 2007-2010. In 2017 people don't give a f--- about Kanye (outside USA)

    Yeah but you have to understand people outside the states don't follow Kim K, and 50 comes in movies that people go watch in the cinema. Eminem and 50 Cent are two names that always follow one another. People who don't even listen to hip hop know about 50, he's a household name.

    Kanye has had basically 50's entire career over 2x, is super popular in pop culture rn, owns a fashion line and married to kim kardashian

    You can't blame the fans on this one

    Shady Records is run horribly. Artists were/are promised artistic freedom on the label; but atleast until 2014, Your debut album was usual compromised by the likes of Paul Rosenberg, Jimmy Iovine and Eminem himself. The only acts on Shady Records who got their debut out without compromising was 50 and D12, and Eminem fought for D12 to release the way it was intended.

    We also stopped supporting because they dont promote their acts at all. They rely on Eminem to release an album every 2-3 years and rank in 800k first week and live off of that as long as they can. Look at this ridiculous silence from Eminem/Shady Records. Alot of artists are reclusive, but h--- even Frank Ocean has been more active them Eminem and that dude was gone for 4 years
