Pretty self-explanatory, beatmakers, what DAW do you prefer and why?

My personal preference is FL Studio only because that's the one I started with, but I've heard ableton allows a lot more control but I'm a bit afraid to make the switch in case it f---s up my workflow :crying2:

DAW preferences among industry producers is all about workflow or which DAW they started with nothing more so you shouldn't worry bout quality. Any of FL studio, Ableton, Logic Pro etc can all do hits. Genearlly Hip-Hop producers are sticking to fl studio.
Some examples of producers and what DAW they use :
FL Studio : Boi1-da, Vinylz, Allen Ritter, 808mafia, Murda Beatz, Sonny Digital , and some successful "type beat" producers who recently started getting placements like crazy (CashmoneyAP, Taz Taylor, 808godz etc)
Ableton : Mike Dean, London On Da Track
Don't know who uses Logic Pro x tho

Just stick to one DAW which workflow works perfect for you

However in terms of Mastering & Mixing Pro Tools is waaaaayyyy above any DAW

FL Studio 9. It was the only thing I had access to when I started ~6 years ago...and I'll never switch up on it. I learned literally everything I know about music from toying around in that. Sampling, drum patterns, original compositions, mixing, etc.

and my plug-in game is A1

Honestly I don't think any of the other DAWs are as intuitive as FL and the workflow is just so simple with it, I can't imagine ever switching (or needing a reason to, there's nothing in FL I want to do and can't).
I feel u on that, I rolled with 10 for the first year or so I was using FL, and since switched to 11, and I'll probably stay there because 12 completely f----- my workflow when I tried it out.

Well I use a Maschine so I use the Maschine DAW (which is pretty f---ing goat because you can just torrent the expansion packs and the amount of samples you have is ridiculous) and I switch between that and Fl Studio. I'm taking an online course in Abelton, which seems to be a favorite among huge, complex producers (like FlyLo, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, etc.)

Fl Studio is the favorite right now since I have so much time into it, and I could carry out basic ideas easier.

FL Studio, cause I don't have time to learn how to use some other DAW.
