    These foul calls got me howling fr. 3 bad misscalls by the refs that could have had the Spurs up 6 additional points.

    This game is so predictable. Keep Javale in, Spurs will have to keep priority on him and send a bunch deep to stop him just like GSW wants, then they'll uncork the 3 and cruise to a 30 point win

    Game 1 was very competitive. If spurs won that which they could have we are looking at this series completely diff

    I'm a HUGE Kobe & KD fan so I had to get in on this.

    Let's see, to start, prime on prime? I'd give KD the more reliable 3, Kobe the more reliable Mid, KD the better finisher but Kobe the better post up player. On offense, it's close, I wouldn't be mad with it going either way. I'd argue Kobe is the better passer however, while KD the better free throw shooter.

    On the other side of the ball, rebounding there's no way around KD's size, so you know he's got that edge, but Kobe as a perimeter defender is a notch or two above KD, so it evens out there. KD however has more of a tendency to not pay attention when compared to Kobe, so if you give the edge to KD on offense, the edge on defense goes to Kobe.

    Physically, KD again has the size advantage, but Kobe was quicker & more athletic, again tends to even out.

    Comparing three best regular season statistical seasons:
    KB -
    2005 { 35.4 ppg - 5.3 rpg - 4.5 apg - 1.8 stl - 0.4 blk - 49% efg }
    2006 { 31.6 ppg - 5.7 rpg - 5.4 apg - 1.4 stl - 0.5 blk - 50% efg }
    2002 { 30.0 ppg - 6.9 rpg - 5.9 apg - 2.2 stl - 0.8 blk - 48% efg }
    KD
    2013 { 32.0 ppg - 7.4 rpg - 5.5 apg - 1.3 stl - 0.7 blk - 56% efg }
    2009 { 30.1 ppg - 7.6 rpg - 2.8 apg - 1.4 stl - 1.0 blk - 51% efg }
    2015 { 28.2 ppg - 8.2 rpg - 5.0 apg - 1.0 stl - 1.2 blk - 57% efg }

    Stats showed just about the same through their peak seasons.
    Kobe scored more and was a more consistent passer and perimeter defender. KD was more efficient and rebound better with more blocks.

    Comparing three best post season statistical seasons (more than 10 games):
    KB -
    2002 { 32.1 ppg - 5.1 rpg - 5.2 apg - 1.2 stl - 0.1 blk - 47% efg } (12 games)
    2008 { 30.2 ppg - 5.3 rpg - 5.5 apg - 1.7 stl - 0.9 blk - 49% efg } (23 games)
    2007 { 30.1 ppg - 5.7 rpg - 5.6 apg - 1.7 stl - 0.4 blk - 51% efg } (21 games)
    KD
    2012 { 30.8 ppg - 9.0 rpg - 6.3 apg - 1.3 stl - 1.1 blk - 50% efg } (11 games)
    2013 { 29.6 ppg - 8.9 rpg - 3.9 apg - 1.0 stl - 1.3 blk - 51% efg } (19 games)
    2010 { 28.6 ppg - 8.2 rpg - 2.8 apg - 0.9 stl - 1.1 blk - 50% efg } (17 games)

    Here Kobe's legacy separates itself from KD, but this is performance based. Kobe has had better performances, with deeper runs. Interestingly enough KD shoots worse in the playoffs with a regular season effective field goal percentage of 53% vs 50% in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Kobe remains even keel at 48% vs 48%, so the shooting is a lot closer in the playoffs, negating one of KD's apparent advantages.

    I don't see a definitive deciding factor, it depends on bias really. Both amazing players but ultimately I think it goes down to what criteria you poke at at the given moment.

    Wasn't a knock on IT at all, just any hope the Celtics had gone down the drain right there. Can't hate on the guy one bit, the way he played through these playoffs after what he's had to go through is incredible and I was rooting for him.

    I know it's been a pretty average playoffs so far but I reckon its going to be one h--- of a finals series despite it being the 3rd time in a row we see Cavs v Warriors. Especially if both go undefeated to the final. Game 1 will be huge.
