I disagree. I felt the same way when LeBron won his first. Why does he deserve it? He went to a team with all-stars.

You know when LeBron deserved it? Down 3-1 last year, and he battled back and took it. Granted he had Kyrie and Love, so even then it's kinda eh, but he was facing the best regular season team ever, and was down 3-1.

Durant would've deserved it if he stayed with the team that was up 3-1 against this same Warriors team, and stuck with it, and beat them this year and beat the Cavs. I would've been a HUGE Durant supporter.

It's not hard to drop 35+ points when the defense has to watch Curry, Thompson and Draymond. You can score at will. It was just like that with LeBron and the Heat.

Aaron Gordon will jump to the stars and overtake LeBron as best SF/PF in the East.

Bucks and Wolves really in for some fun times over the next few seasons.

Denver's got a load of talent as well. Can't forget about the Peli's with Boogie and Brow potentially wrecking havoc on the league!

As a Celtics fan I loved it, but they all kinda sell-outs too, so...?

Plus, Celtics big 3 was acquired via trade, so it's a little bit different.

LeBron/Bosh/Wade made the choice, they were all free agents, where-as Allen/Pierce/Garnett didn't really have a say (except KG, because he could've denied the trade).

Plus, the Celtics organization practically dumped their entire roster of prospects for two players, whereas the Warriors/Heat didn't give up anything, they just added to their (stacked) teams. It might not seem like a big deal now, but people were skeptical about dumping our young prospects like that for two older players. Garnett was 31 years old and Ray was 31.

Plus, in 2006-07 Celtics (Pierce, Rondo, Perk) were 24-58, Timberwolves (KG) were 32-50, and Supersonics (Allen) were 31-51.

Cavs in 2009-2010 (the year LeBron left for Miami) was a 61 win team, number 1 seed, and lost to the Celtics in 6 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, while the Thunder in 2015-16 were a 3 seed, and had a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals. They were both on teams that were close to being contenders or in the NBA Finals.

I don't necessarily mind the Warriors' organization, because they're obviously trying to win a title, why wouldn't you go after Durant? I'd love the Celtics to bring in LeBron, Durant, Curry etc. However, I hate this notion that just because you're an elite player, you just deserve a ring. Durant could've gotten a ring with Thunder, he wasn't that far off. You don't build a 3-1 lead by luck. They would've had a legit shot this season to overtake the Warriors. He took the easy way out, just like LeBron did when he lost to the Celtics to create a super team.

KG did. Paul didn't, but obviously Paul wanted them to be traded to Boston.

Like I don't blame Curry, Wade, Thompson, Draymond, etc. Why wouldn't you want to bring players like Durant and LeBron in? But, LeBron could've stayed in Cleveland, and he probably would've found a way to get over that Boston team, like Jordan did to the Pistons. Same as Durant, he probably would've found a way.

    Triple post

but if LeBron or Durant was like 34-35 years old, and their franchises didn't do s--- for them, and they had no rings, then sure, go to a team and ride out for a title. I view Melo the same way.

But then, why are we comparing these guys to Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Bird? I love Pierce but I don't view him in the same way as I do those 4. If you're a generational player, you're held to a higher standard.

Quite the impossible choice the Cavs had to make in this series. Who were they gonna double team? Steph or KD? They chose Steph, probably because he's the main distributor. Still didn't work.

Congrats to Golden State. They deserve it.

Gotta give credit where it is due. KD was brilliant these playoffs, made the most ridiculous shots. He essentially joined the team with the greatest record of all time and became THE GUY for them. He's in his prime right now, I would even argue he is better than his MVP season. f--- him still :emoji_slight_frown:
