They made both of those moves before KD left and he was tight with both of them. Maybe he sticks around if they didn't cheap out like they did with Harden.

It was a bad move in retrospect, but not at the time... Many people viewed (and still view) Oladipo as a future star. I don't, but he's a year younger and someone that was probably viewed as better than Waiters at the time of the deal.

They still f----- up though. But I ain't mad. Waiters is gonna be in Miami for awhile now.

Idk, Dion was a top 3 pick as well and had tons of potential coming of out Syracuse. I liked Dipo but thought it was kind of an odd move. Dion's offensive game is much more complete and isn't much of a drop off on defense.

Dropping Ibaka for a rookie when you were a win away from the Finals was an awful move as well, especially considering how well he's played with Toronto.

Yeah OKC's list is f-----, although Taj Gibson was a nice addition.

You cant expect Russ to have a better season than he did this year and they ended in a first round exit.

I see them changing their approach a bit, probably ask Russ not to go for every rebound. Over a course of a season he might get more rest next year. Russ is still capable of putting up another triple double season as crazy as that sounds but he obviously can't and shouldn't do it all himself. He might go for 28 8 8 next year if they can rework the offense with better ball movement. If they get another ballhandler/shot creator then it can only help him stay fresh.

Consistently cheap organization though, I respect his loyalty but idk how much confidence you can have in their ability to build a contender around him.

s---, after next season him and PG can both squad up in LA with all of the Lakers young talent.

It's probably been posted here already and I'm sure many of you have already read it, but the Dion Waiters article in The Player's Tribune is soooooo good.
