    i dont doubt this statement. I loathed swimming pools when i first heard it on the radio...then i saw the video and liked the vid which changed my view of the song completely...

    similar thing with HUMBLE.

    give me time ..this is SUCH an adjustment from TPAB and i LOVE TPAB. i know its still Kendrick Lamar but i feel like im listening to a completely different artist ...its a mindfuck

    i mean besides having these amazing producers on this album ...I feel like this album is out of place in his discography. Maybe before TPAB not saying hes taking a step backward but I think he couldve put out an album like this a LONG time ago ...he was just shying away from it....and i guess with the success of TPAB, it really gave Kenny the confidence to finally do it

    Was doing some leisurely reading yesterday and someone said that this album is Kendrick coming to grips with his stardom and his death on the intro and the tracks after that are him magnifying his vices/issues/life more aggressively or something.

    I can't remember where I read it though and I'm just paraphrasing but yeah...

    Lust is low key one of my favorite tracks.

    Very unique. Not what I expected at all but the album is a 9/10. Production is fantastic and he killed the hooks and choruses. Kendrick went above and beyond just great rapping/storytelling and made awesome music.

    A million listens later, I'm settling between 7.5-8. Not my personal favourite but it's a necessary album in Kenny's discography. His fan base has increased massively because of it so I don't mind it not being sonically ambitious.

    People are gonna look back on Kendrick's 4 album stretch in a few years and say wow he delivered 4 quality albums and they're all so different this man really was a legend

    Who knows maybe he'll have 4 more to match by then
