Apr 16, 2017 Can we all agree that TPAB is a lyrical masterpiece? It's jazz/funk instrumentation is slower than the instrumental on d---. Hence why you see a lot more people saying d--- > TPAB because it's a much easier listen. Sounwave also the most underrated producer in the game after this release
Apr 16, 2017 This was the Kendrick lamar album ive waited for since I became a fan back in the k.dot day's. d---
Apr 16, 2017 GKMC, has some weaker songs but the songs that are good are a lot better than the top songs on d---
Apr 16, 2017 d--- lyrics are extremely good and each line is put together purposefully for the structure of the album to flow as one cohesive walk in the afternoon. I never said they weren't as good as tpab or gkmc I just said tpab is a lyrical master piece. How much a dollar cost is one of the greatest songs I ever heard across any genre. I think d--- with more time it will lyrically surpass both tapes it's just to soon. It may even pass S.80... Is it fair to say Kenny destroyed jay elec in element? And the little ounce of hope I had for act 2 is officially gone?
Apr 16, 2017 Tpab > gkmc=d--- > s80 I cant decide atm, i think all the songs on gkmc aged well, but i think most of the songs on d--- will age even better, but also that a couple won't age as well, also i prefer gkmc's worst songs over d---'s
Apr 16, 2017 Ima vote gkmc though simply cos i think it will end up having way more influence than d--- ever will, gkmc's short film style really made heavy concept albums popular again, i cant see d--- doing anything quite as influential
Apr 16, 2017 Real and compton > yah and humble, ik you'll hate me for this though cos i know how much you love humble
Apr 16, 2017 Yeah, i dont really care for the sound of either but i thought the verses for real were really well thought out and had a great concept to it, yah is alright from that angle but not as good imo
Apr 16, 2017 Yeah maybe, i remember hating institutionalised at first but coming to appreciate it as i heard it more
