    not true. digital sales are more than physical sales (2016 onwards), but they still maintain a close to 50/50 ratio.

    streaming not included obviously.

    If Your Reading This was a digital release for the first few weeks & sold twice as much. I know streaming is bigger now but that is quite a drop.

    If physical sales were 50/50 then the label would have copies out asap.

    outlets are comparing the sales to more life, because more life is the highest selling debut of the year so far.

    but this thread is gassed comparing an album for which no physical copies exist to an album for which they do, and kendrick is still within 5k copies if he does his projected numbers :laff:

    but i guess it's a leg for kendrick stans to stand on

    for the record, more life did 505k first week, 226,000 of which were sales (iTunes only). if physicals existed, and we afforded a 3:1 ratio for digital to physical (the actual ratios are much closer, but just for the purpose of debate), he'd be closer to 600k first week.

    but if you guys want a real number, just compare d---. to drake's last proper release which was views. 852k first week, just a year ago.

    yea but none of that matters, Drake chose to release his album this way...at the end of the day d--- sold more

    Kendrick fans never thought a Kenny album would sell more first week, ofc they will be happy that Kendrick outsold the biggest rapper today

    but thats not the only reason, Kendrick also broke his own all time record

    Drake was brought up cuz of the biggest debut this year ... to Kendrick fans that doesnt even matter anymore since Kenny holds the new position, so now instead of "Will X top Drake record" its gonna be Kennys name instead and that all that matters bro
