Jul 15, 2016 As much as I agree that we are in peaceful times compared to the past, I think we're in the most unstable time, or well one of the most unstable times, in history. It will only take one big event to swing the world in its current state to a state of chaos.
Jul 15, 2016 Late response but what makes you think it's necessary for a western power to deploy ground forces? If ISIS is slowly losing the war on the ground, I don't think there's any need. If anything, the U.S. and other western powers need to do a better job at battling ISIS's online propaganda machine. That's the root of many of these attacks. Jul 15, 2016 I agree with you and I am hopeful you are right. However, we are one large attack on US soil away from politicians being pressured into deploying more troops in the Middle East. The way things have been going in Europe, I fear it is imminent.
