Till i collapse and My dad's gone crazy is Em's best two track run ever. Perfect climatic end to a solid and well toned album. SWYS felt out of place yes, but otherwise a solid and consistent run from start to finish.

TES overall sounds more distinctive in style than MMLP. SSLP was Eminem being slim shady, MMLP was him Eminem trying to be more personal. TES was the fine balance between comical and personal that never swung too far on either to not feel natural.
Easily the best of that trio.

There are parallels between old em and modern's em solo track run. Relapse was an attempt to recapture 'slim shady' with his drug addiction. Recovery was him trying to be personal, and MMLP2 was him re-finding the balance. The problem with mmlp2 is that it lacks TES's consistency. If every song in mmlp2 was as good as groundhog day then it arguably would have been his best album since he actually seems to have found a higher level of depth as a writer compared to his older material. I think he lost focus with the rihanna/recovery hype and the COD promotion which threw him off balance as a writer.

But yeah, TES>>MMLP

Even if you don't agree TES is his best album, which I personally think it is by a small margin, I don't think anyone can disagree that its the Eminem album that has definitely aged the best.

His energy is fire on the last verse of Amityville.

Couldn't agree more, my favorite album will always be Eminem Show. A couple songs on MMLP are superior to everything on TES (Stan, Marshall Mathers, The Way I Am) but overall as a project TES is his best.

Also TES has far and away the best singles, not even debatable.

f---ing this. And TES is the safest album around. I'm so tired of hearing that. Its spirit isn't as fearless. Sure, TES is cohesive and most of the tracks segue into each other perfectly. But something's missing.

killer hook , 3 verses that are 18/10, incredible flow and delivery , the beats fits perfectly

there are rappers that dont have a verse as good as any of those 3

if he made a solo album instead of 8 mile soundtrack , he did tes before 8 mile soundrack but another right after it when he did lose yourself,rabbit run , 8 mile and 2X 10/10 verses on that soundtrack could have resulted in the goat album

SSLP is his best album, but like @Soldier said, Eminem was at his peak during Devil's Night.

Eminem Show is the most polished, but SSLP is EASILY his most creative and interesting album. Every track is unpredictable and original.
