Apr 30, 2016 You guys are reaching so hard just because parts of this sound more commercial than ever before You're telling me this first verse isn't absolutely batshit crazy? From the way he comes in, to the "come on baby lets lay up...lets lay up" to the "I don't give a f--- what y'all n----s sayin do you" to "I just picked up a 40 on the back end" there's SO much crazy s--- happening in the first verse You guys are overreacting about the sound, there's NO way to reel thug in entirely. It's impossible, and this song is actually a great example of that They tried to reel him in, but instead he still has crazy and experimental first verse and that entire outro This might be top 5 thug songs of he year
Apr 30, 2016 A little I guess but not really. The most he's sounded like Wayne to me was for a bit on the 2nd verse on Hercules. it's almost identical there This is just stylistically similar to an extent I think but nothing more than that
Apr 30, 2016 I hear nothing experimental in this. It's a song just like every other artist makes a song. Nothing stands out, there's no "Money long like a sock with some shorts" it's a serious song and it's not why I like thug. We all know he can make "regular" music like this. For now it's no fun, also it doesn't make me feel anything. Can't even believe I didn't get goosebumps from this but still get them from SS3. First time in a while I didnt like a song from thug and I'm about 18 listens in right now (besides I'm up but I didn't like that cuz of the other idiots on it). Tbh I'm in shambles cuz I wish I loved it.
Apr 30, 2016 He sound like Wayne more than ever before and the autotune doesn't sound good here at all. Like the second verse but overall I don't think this beats anything on I'm Up/SS3
Apr 30, 2016 Probably why I don't like it to be honest cuz it sounds exactly like Wayne when he was really popular. It's a song that was forced for mass appeal, that's really it.
Apr 30, 2016 @wtfnst don't get me wrong tho I defintely understand ur concerned and kind of felt the same way for the first few listens
Apr 30, 2016 Lol well since you turned around and said I'm right about everything thug related at some point I'll just wait for that
Apr 30, 2016 Slow your roll slime! You're not right about everything thug related, though you helped put me on! I just don't like the sound of this at all. You do hear it right?? Way different than any thug sound I've heard yet, and I think the autotune is responsible. And Wayne is all over this track
Apr 30, 2016 U kno that clip u posted in the other post where thugs going ham? And said that's what ur looking for? He's doing that on the first verse here b I don't get how u don't see that That part where he yells "I don't give a d--- what y'all n----s sayin just do you Ay" You're making it sound a lot more safe then it is But I do get what you're saying. It defintely sounds more processed than usual But anyways you guys hate it if you want lol I'm a go to court bumpin this w a mink coat on Ay
Apr 30, 2016 It strays very far away from the acclaimed "thug genre" maybe I'm super biased because I literally only listen to Young Thug all day but this sound is as generic as the rest of hiphop, which I cant stand as is and is the reason I don't like other music. It's okay though, I don't hate it but there's no reason why I shouldn't love a thug song other than label interference for monetary gain which seems to be very apparent within the happenings of this song being released. So I don't know. Just my thoughts, I'm still gonna listen to it and it's still going in the playlist. Just disappointed. Thug needs to stay VERY far away from the tame route.
Apr 30, 2016 Yeah if u were praising the worth it mix but hating this I woulda been mad confused lmao
Apr 30, 2016 Where though? I've heard hundreds of songs that sound like this. Usually thug is the trendsetter but here, he seems to be a follower. Following the path of what the masses like. Minimal adlibs, minimal slurs, more rapping, less zaniness.
