    Isn't expecting someone to completely change the landscape of music more than once a little naive? I never understood that concept, like Dom Kennedy releasing a decent album is welcomed, but Dre not releasing a world shattering masterpiece is cause for riots. This is why we didn't get detox, irrationally over entitled fans.

    He did it twice, and he then let us wait for over decade.. Yes my expectations for this album was high. It just didnt reach it...

    To those who think this wasn't a game changing album, PLEASE point me to an album that has these type of Beats, mixing and production.

    The point is there was nothing like it before kanye made it
    This compton sounds like kendricks sound. The sound was already was there.

    Yeah, a 50 year old rapper who hadn't put out a studio album in what? 15 years? This is a good to really good album, don't know how you could expect more than that.

    If you're referring to any of kendrick sound before section.80, sure you can make that argument. But anything around GKMC and beyond, I promise you Dre was involved.

    I didn't expect Dr. Dre to reinvent his sound, and he shouldn't have to. This album was refreshing. 15+ years and Dre can still make the sound he created decades ago still sound as it did so many years ago.

    He doesn't need to be kanye and reinvent his sound after every project.

    And that was your downfall. Having those unrealistic expectations. Hence why Dre scrapped Detox
