My Nolan top 3 would be

    Batman Begins
    The Prestige
    TDKR

Not being very objective but they are absolutely my favorites.

Well after trailer 3 I was literally expecting it to be my favorite movie of all-time so yeah I was beyond disappointed lol. It's obviously got it's flaws but it's aged well and if I turn it off about 5 minutes early it's a pretty enjoyable watch for me.

You've got it over TDK? And Memento? and Inception?

I thought TDKR was an absolute clusterfuck, so I don't see that at all. lol

All of this post is cool, except the ScarJo part which is just madness. :emoji_wink:

I like The Prestige quite a bit, but The Departed for me.

Honestly don't think I'll ever be able to see The Dark Knight Rises as anything more than Nolan's worst film. And Inception would easily be my favorite on nostalgia alone, but my taste has changed significantly since my last viewing so I can't definitively rank it in Nolan's filmography until I do a re-watch.

I gotta say, after totally souring on Nolan with TDKR, I was really impressed with Interstellar. Very entertaining

Objectively, TDK was the better film but I'm personally don't enjoy it as much as the other two. Heath was goat but the everything about Harvey Dent was just awful to me. Aaron Eckhart was flat out bad and Maggie Gyllenhall was an insufferable c----. Outside of the Joker I think the film is incredibly overrated(I watched Heat about a month ago and laughed to myself at the comparisons that have been made between each film's heist sequences) Like I said I was furious when I left TDKR but it's grown on me with time and I can accept it's flaws because it did have a lot of great stuff(every pit scene, the two fights, ect). I also think the fact that it was more of a sequel to Begins(top 5 All-Time for me) than TDK was plays a factor in me preferring TDKR. Oh well.

    my ranking:
    The Dark Knight
    Interstellar
    The Prestige
    Memento
    Batman Begins
    Insomnia
    Following
    The Dark Knight Rises
    Inception

    Objective ranking:
    Memento
    The Dark Knight
    Interstellar
    The Prestige
    Batman Begins
    Insomnia
    Following
    The Dark Knight Rises
    Inception

It gets fuzzy with Interstellar because i'm not quite sure where to rank it objectively yet.

nah Inception is much much worse B.

Joseph Gordon Levitt popping up out of nowhere to explain everything drives me insane.

TDKR not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be in here. Had it's flaws sure, still a really enjoyable film. Any movie that comes after something like TDK is gonna be over shadowed to a degree.
Favorite Nolan films would probably have to be, in no order, TDK, The Prestige, Batman Begins and Interstellar.

But yeah, The Departed is an amazing film.

Interstellar would be top three for me if the corniness was toned down by about 1000. Feels like I'm watching a movie made for eight year old's at certain points. Don't think the 5D/tesseract/time travel stuff in the last half hour entirely works either.

    Great experience otherwise.

I'm willing to overlook all of the Anne Hathaway scenes to indulge myself into Interstellar. I think Interstellar and Nolan should be admired for his attempt at trying to bend artsy film making to accessible block busters. That being said he still is a vastly overrated director.
