    in my opinion if you dont think his career since 2003 has affected his positions "one of the greatest rappers" than yeah you're kind of a stan on some level.

    hes one of the biggest icons in hip hop history, without a DOUBT.

    as a rapper tho? incredible in his prime, one of my favorites ever. but that did translate fully to this albums (sslp/mmlp/tes -- even though they're still great) and has almost never again resurfaced in the 10+ years since then

    I get what you're saying but if one musician is considered one of the greatest, they don't suddenly lose that title just because their more recent work isn't of the same quality as it used to be.

    And the who will survive skit is great? Monster is NOT worse than the worst songs on TES. Dark Fantasy is better than everything but like the top 5 on TES. Lost in the World is also better than like 5-6 tracks off TES, at least (even if you're not a huge fan).

    But yeah, MBDTF is the better constructed album above all. But nah, apparently TES is the 3rd best hip hop album to ever exist SMFH

    i don't consider his work to be as awful as most others, although it is much more barebones and uninspiring than it used to be

    there have just been so many incredible rappers with much better careers, standalone projects, etc than Em. he doesnt deserve any recognition any more tbh

    I wasn't picking on Monster, I like it. And I don't hate LITW, but they're my least favourites. Monster > SWYS.

    I never said TES is better than every other album, relax lol

    tes has a much higher user rating and most of those "critic" reviews of mbdtf are editorialized and/or sponsored. way to make yourself look like an illiterate jackass
