    In defense of @Vahn, there is definitely a strong contingent of Mann diehards, particularly fans of his more experimental recent work. I'm not necessarily one of them, but I've seen many persuasive arguments for Blackhat being major. E.g. http://reverseshot.org/reviews/entry/1989/blackhat

    Some friends of mine (critics/filmmakers) are die hard mann fans and esp. love Blackhat. It's def a thing. And I like Blackhat quite a bit too, though not top tier imo.
