Dec 29, 2014 Game couldn't get a decent buzz going to save his life. Hadn't really even heard about his last album Year of the Wolf before opening this thread. This guy has been trying to copy and mimick what others are doing for a while now. Naming his next album as Documentary 2 wont work unless he has the right people on board (and those right people won't mess with him anymore either way). So this is prone to be another disappointment. He's been done for a while now.
Dec 29, 2014 He can push it more, but I doubt it will stick with the people unless there isn't a massive Dr.Dre influence and some sort of reconciliation with 50. Yes, Eminem managed to pull off a MMLP sequel without using the same people behind the first one. But Game cannot do it. Yes he has tried to fall back a little to maybe atleast paint a picture of reinventing himself, but I'm not too sure that Game can come back anymore. It's similar as with 50, but 50 right now has the whole "G-Unit comeback schtick" to rely on and get a little bit more shine than regular.
Dec 29, 2014 I'll probably buy it. The Documentary is a classic. Games s--- lately has been better than ppl give him credit for. But when he copies other rappers flow kinda has me like wtf. Anyways I'm looking forward to this

Dec 31, 2014 Kinda pretty keen to hear this. Like I want it to be good, but i just feel like "part 2"/"sequel" albums are always pretty s---. doubt we hear Dre production, like he says will be "on the album". deff feel like some storch would be likely/good for Game though. (heard a snippet from a a few months back that was pretty cool by storch/Game ) I don't know what it is either. But I will say Game's verses on Purge are f---ing awesome. "You give a kid 30 cents and think you sponsor somethin'? I'll feed a village by myself, n----- Compton coming" I like that song and 'Really'. 'Really' isn't amazing lyricism though (just cool if that makes sense ?) just dumb s--- that rhymes together for the most part. Thought the bars: "Slaughter ya house with five 9's Leave all of you n----s with crooked I's got the louis ville slugga, big papi Ortiz knocking every budden of your budden up sleeve" were pretty cool. Listen to those 2 songs and the rest of the album doesn't really matter at all unless your a Game stan. feel like he has ran out of s--- to rap about tbh.
Dec 31, 2014 Would be an accomplishment to Game in regards to his current state of career. However it would be sad considering it is a sequel to a legendary album that sold so much and was considered a classic by many. If 50 made a GRODT 2 (even though it would'nt make any sense at all title wise) it would probably sell more than 50's latest albums, however overall compared to GRODT (even when adjusted to todays market number wise) it would be a flop. Detox the same (even though it is not a sequel, but Dre's a special case here). Sequels to (arguably) classic albums make sense if they either are content wise up to bar (which I doubt Game can be) or if they're able to generate enough promotion to bring in similar numbers (adjusted with todays music market conditions) in sales. Jay-Z's Blueprints is a good example. BP III was nowhere near with the content quality but sales wise not too shabby (overall it didn't bring too much shame to the overall Blueprints). Raekwon OB4CL arguably had the quality (cant remember sales wise). I would argue that Game cannot bring the quality nor the quantity, the fall has been too strong and too long. 50 would be in a similar ditch in this situation.

Jan 16, 2015 Id look forward to a Game album before a 50 one. Game hasn't had an album as good as GRODT (Documentary was close) but is a better artist than 50.
Jan 16, 2015 I know people have said it a million times but album will only be good with limited features. Or atleast limit the amount of rappers featured on one song. We dont need no more dj khaled type s---. His last great album was r.e.d. imo.
Jan 23, 2015 Remember copping The R.E.D. album. Thought it was classic at first because all his great tracks were sandwhiched in between the intro and first skit.

Feb 2, 2015 Game needs to ride the buzz the west is getting what with Kendrick/TDE and the NWA movie/ost... Keep it west with beats by Dre, Khalil, etc. and features by Dre, Cube, Kendrick, Snoop, and so on. Forget the s-----y features that he's filled his last couple joints with and stop biting flows...
