Jan 13, 2016 i was saying who cares if one is more "emotional" than the other. yes only one is more emotional to me than a majority of your list. but thats not why i think its great. as ive already said its a great concept and its written very well. only thing that stops it from resonating with most is the execution, which personally works for me. the overbearing autotune adds to the aesthetic, it makes kanye's voice seem like its suffocating under the pressure he's facing (the premise for the entire song is that he's trying to relieve the recent stress and insecurities that have been eating away at him), and it ends up sounding like some sort of new-age lullably. the outro with Macca provides an impeccable release after the emotional climax of the song.
