Mar 14, 2017 I grew up with mario kart ds. Arguably the peak of the series . Mario Kart 8 let me down with the battle mode. And the f---ing DLC mean't you were segregated online if you didn't have it. plus 200cc wasn't implemented outside of tournaments. So if it goes for 30USD, then the dlc i didn't buy, plus improved online, performance and battle modes will justify 30USD, otherwise they can f--- off for rushing MK8 and then wanting me to play another 60 for the refined version.
Mar 14, 2017 Hardly kids games though, i don't think a kid can take the heartbreak of last lap blue shells. That's a phenomenal d-ck move
Mar 14, 2017 if you watch his video review, he goes into details and make actually solid points. at first I was also rating the game a 9 but now I tend more towards an 8 after he made me realised the flaws in the game. the most blatant one is all the great weapons Ive saved for the big boss that really never came. also the d--- animation each time you enter a shrine.
Mar 14, 2017 Right... I can see why this would be an 8 for some people... but according to his own system he didn't rate it an 8 even though his review classifies it as one: 7 (Good): A 7 represents a favorable slice of entertainment that ought to prove welcome in the right house. Not the most glamorous, polished, or jawdropping, but most definitely good for a chuckle or two. 8 (Great): An 8 represents something that could prove immensely enjoyable to a majority of people, if not everybody. There are one or two noteworthy blemishes on their records, something holding them back, but nothing so major as to not be worth a lot of peoples’ time and energy. I feel the difference between his 8 and 7 is that he wants that attention and has distain toward Nintendo as he has been known to have.. and that's where that extra -1 came from. I don't see how saving weapons for a big boss is the games fault... you chose not to use those weapons... knowing that the game throws an abundance of weapons at you. The animation can be skipped... so again, what are we even talking about? I hate saying "user error" but really... both these things have solutions. @Vybz I think the fact that Metacritic even allows someone like Jim to influence critic scores to be strange in itself. The developers and team actually get bonuses based off the Metacritic score and when you have someone that is a self-proclaimed "resist" reviewer... someone that specifically reviews things just to tear them apart, it's sort of a disservice to the product he's reviewing. His own gimmick is to give things low scores because of an abundance of nitpicking so I don't see how someone like that can be taken serious and he shouldn't be on Metacritic. His s--- should be YouTube where it belongs.
Mar 14, 2017 in Aus, bare console is $470 + no games. f---ing rediculous, i honestly wouldn't be surprised if it tanks in this country. apparently the entire rest of the world loves the switch though. ultra wtf though, like, japan and aus are both part of oceania you'd think we'd be getting this console for an atleast reasonable price, but nup. oh and $90 for botw, so you're like at $560 to play one game. That is 100% the reason i'm emulating. I can justify $250 for a 3ds and some zelda s----s but $560 c-m tha fu- on cunce
Mar 14, 2017 @Final @Vybz i don't think there's anything wrong his review in itself (though i did skim over it.) his score is contrarian but. an 8 or 9 would of made sense, 7 is just "LOOK AAT ME I AM MAKE LOW REVIEW SCORE AND IM THE ONLY ONE LIKE COMMENT SUBSCRIBE BELOW"
Mar 14, 2017 Jamaicans have a currency? i thought you guys just traded weed for everything 1 AUD is almost 100 JMD though lmfao
Mar 14, 2017 Yeah our currency is s--- and prices are taking that slow but certain upward rise. Just s-----y third world economics.
Mar 25, 2017 This game is still absolutely massive. I played on Thursday night after work for a break....ended up being a 4.5 hour play session. It was crazy. Just exploring upon exploring. It's really neat all the little things you come across. I think I've logged 43 hours or so so far. It still feels pretty fresh for me, like it has continued to lure me to keep playing. I know other open world games have similar effects (like Skyrim, I'll always have a soft spot for that game first time playing it). But it's so neat for Zelda to now follow that formula for this game. I'm not an overly huge Zelda lore person, but I'd assume people who are are enjoying the h--- out of the game because there are little easter eggs even I get lol.
Mar 27, 2017 I got some holidays this week....f--- man.... hate to admit it but when I turned off Zelda today I checked my game log.... played for 7 hours and 59 minutes. JESUS lol
Mar 29, 2017 I've managed to put in just over 15 hours on this game since launch (on wii U). I barely get to play anything anymore but this game is something else. It's one of the greatest gaming experiences I've had. There's so much to do I keep putting aside the main storyline. I'm just paragliding around Hyrule while Zelda's killing herself holding Ganon down.
Mar 30, 2017 I was checking my gamelog for Wii U yesterday and it was something similar to this: Zelda Twilight Princess - 21 Times Played, 52 Hours (Beat the game, didn't 100% it but did some side quests, got the magic armor etc.) Zelda BOTW - 20 Times Played, 57 Hours. - I've gotten 1 of the 4 divine beats so far maybe like 50-60 shrines I think... 40 korok seeds.... It's going to take a long time but that's fine because I'm enjoying every aspect of it. Even the exploring is great. You can climb basically any mountain and who knows what is luring at the top of them.
