Apr 14, 2016 kendricks is bad, it shouldve been a solo song. and fine even if it isnt bad, its bad for the song. it adds nothing worthwile and makes me less likely to play the song. i look at saint pablo and NMPILA in the same light and id rather listen to the former because its all kanye, even tho the verse on NMPILA might be better than the 2 on saint pablo
Apr 14, 2016 @JFK @BigCountry i was wrong about the scale/effort kanye would put into this album, but i was right about one thing: its a culmination of all his styles to date. ULB, Highlights, Feedback, Freestyle 4, NMPILA etc all represent distinct styles
Apr 14, 2016 I like Kendrick's verse better. Kanye's flow/delivery is terrible and the whole "spray tan" thing (which is great) should've extended upon. It's clear that was the only part Kanye recorded before giving up on the song 5+ years ago.. When he came back to the song, desperate for new music, Kanye chose to rap about the woes of being famous in LA instead of partying (Interesting to see his Dadye mindset change). Wish the song had more of a h--- of a Life vibe. The whole track is lazily put together at the last minute. Could've been a major hit. At least he finally wrote a verse.. after releasing a snippet of the song. "s---, I guess I should probably finish NMPILA now." Scary.
