Jul 7, 2016 can anyone tell me why the f--- they treated the woman like a criminal and arrested her? the police just shot her boyfriend, she's being very calm and doing everything they say but she still has to get out of the car facing away with like 3 guns pointed on her, is this normal for america?
Jul 7, 2016 Watching that video at a different angle , it would appear to me that sterling was reaching for something.. I'm not saying he deserved this (s---t him in the f---ing hand) but I don't know if he was 100% complying. Also, disgusted to see another similar incident in less than 24 hours. This country is so f-----
Jul 7, 2016 I don't know how you can watch 2 men over power another, then while he's on the ground, s---t him multiple times and you still defend him... what the f--- is wrong with you? I wish me and my mate could push you to the ground and hold a gun to your head so you'd understand, you piece of s---. But truth is you won't understand, you're a f---ing c---- that has to take the opposite side of the majority, every chance.you get. Just fight me in real life or f--- off.
Jul 7, 2016 something needs to happen ay interesting how in both murders the officers both shot because they saw a gun on a black guy but the gun on the white guy was way more lethal
Jul 7, 2016 Where did you see him reach? Because I saw his left arm pinned down by the cops body weight.
Jul 7, 2016 ^^^ not funny .....cops don't even give them the opportunity before they s---t......there is a serious deep rooted hatred between cops and criminals in JA where that "respect" of "I'm going to identify who you are before I s---t you" doesn't apply here. its like the bloods and the crips...... also I wouldn't disregard @Genghis Stan completely ...Jamaica shares a similar/connected history with that of America when it comes to race....Jamaicans were occupied by Britain and other countries until 1962 when they gained their independence.........also the Caribbean had many ports that transported slaves across islands, and to the US during the Slave Trade. Jamaica also had plantations of slaves ruled by European settlers back in the day. Jamaica really does have it bad when it comes to police brutality... lmao if thought American cops abused authority............Jamaican cops will k--- you and it wont even make the news, or social media, etc /...they have absolutely no justice or a way to get justice...government there is f-----.... I'm saying this to say I agree there are differences between the 2 countries but I do believe someone from JA can very well sympathize with whats occurring in America when it comes to police brutality. srsly SHAME ON THOSE who think just because he had a criminal history he deserved it......if he served his time and the court said they had no issue with letting him be released back into the public then his past should not dictate the future....its not up to police officers to determine the quality of a life and have the power to take that life...we pay lawyers, judges, courts, prisons, etc enough to determine what should happen to someone convicted of a crime. Unfortunately it seems police have adopted a mentality that they are "the judge, jury, and the executioner" which is all the more reason why they need help ....help so that they aren't so quick to judge someone so that they are in a better position to help them. in many studies most situations involving a black man holding an unidentified object or an actual gun, everyone (cops white/black, students of different races, same with teachers etc) were quicker to pull the trigger than a white person either holding an unidentified object or a gun ...........which begs the question what makes black men and women (most recently Sandra Bland) targets for this type of aggression and even better how many simple arrests involving any other race or gender result in death?
Jul 7, 2016 Lady made things 100x worse for herself than she had to, could have been let off fairly easy and instead she caused all that like an idiot, even with her kids there. Cop was in the right here for sure.
Jul 7, 2016 Two thoughts. It's kind of sick we are watching these videos. I don't deny their importance but a part of me thinks they're being viewed less with outrage (by some) and more like those videos of people committing suicide and homeless men fighting Also, out of context, it must rly s--- being a cop. You have these poorly trained probably overworked, dim witted white men in ridiculous life threatening situations every day. They get scared and react. That's not to excuse these videos; they're surreal and absurd. Just considering this in a wider lens-- system is failing every body. Gun control, race relations, public safety-- this touches a lot of third rails.
Jul 7, 2016 Totally agree. People always pick at things, but it's multiple issues across multiple areas. I think the policing system (training wise and in the hierarchy) needs an overhaul. Can't speak much on USA but if it's anything like The Wire then it's fairly similar to Australian Police. journalists/big news media outlets/government/police are all connected. I've seen/watched examples of it happen where police are doing more to suit an agenda, or showing off stats on TV, rather than policing. Too much noise from higher ups and outside sources cause the police industry to become an absolute clusterfuck IMO. Also, I've read multiple studies about the effects of giving an average person extra power. pretty much all end with the person abusing their power in some way. IMO this is way overlooked in the police industry. (More so where I live where 100% of cops have guns and less than probably a third of people own guns and we can't carry them)
