Jul 6, 2016 It's a way of pushing the real issue to the side by trying to convince people he deserved to die or he had it coming. Doesn't matter who you are in a situation like this. The only thing that matters is how the cops and the victim acted in this isolated incident.

Jul 6, 2016 It's sad. Whether the cops are prosecuted or not, this man is gone. His son is without a father, as are his other children. I don't know what has to happen to really change this broken system, but I hope whatever it is that it happens soon. RIP to Alton Sterling, and prayers for the family
Jul 6, 2016 I'm actually heartened by how this thread has gone. We can all agree that this was a cold-blooded execution. If you watch the video--which I wouldn't recommend unless you're sure you can handle it--he's pinned down by the two officers when they s---t four-to-six bullets into him. In that moment, any prior record of Sterling's is irrelevant.

Jul 6, 2016 In Ja. police sometimes storm peoples homes and murder them in thier beds. illegall drugs and guns are either found, or in cases where they find nothing, it's planted. There's a system set up to do this where the higher up's cover these incidents. The way they do this and the reasons why is why i disagree about why you think this happens (hardly a conspiracy specifically against blacks). What can you though do. Unarming the police is not an option.
