Jan 2, 2015 To win? Lol And appealing to the crowd your in front isn't a negative. You'll lose most of the time anyways if you still s----d Pat had some great angles, was hilarious, and brought genuine aggression/performance ("Don't ever confuse emotional with weak/I'll slit your throat with tears rolling down my cheek") I know he didn't do enough to please you as a viewer sitting at home watching it on cam, but it's not like he won purely based off homefield advantage. It ended up being a style clash, which is what Pat wanted, and it got him the W Edit: also I understand how that story could be corny by itself, but in context it worked great. The "I don't give a f--- about your Twitter followers mr popular," approach mixed with "here's why I do what I do," was a great approach vs Diz's constant bragging about how he wore the chain while f---ing botches when he had it and all that jazz Made Diz look like a spoiled kid, made Pat look like a real man Also the transitions from seriousness to jokes has always surprised me - the "when u have febreeze you probably hold it like this and spray it like that" was amazing
Jan 2, 2015 I know the reason bruh, my point was that it's hypocritical to say he doesn't want home advantage when he constantly plays to it. Wasn't saying he didn't deserve the win based on what they both came with, I'm just saying if Diz didn't slip up the few times he did and Pat didn't play to the crowd in the third, it would have looked a lot closer than it currently does. I guess if there's one thing I'll say about that battle, it's that Pat had the most quoteables. That line and the Titanic s--- had me rolling.
Jan 2, 2015 They entire s--- in the first about "crushing a mans head with a Boulder/the noises he made were sickening/at my friends open casket cracking jokes n s---" etc etc was SO good. The delivery on that s--- was immaculate, even Diz looked scared as f--- lol. He wasn't expecting that kind of emotion Pat's the KING at making ANYTHING relatable. Oh and this s--- about d-ck pics had me dyinggg "when they see mine they have to use the scroll on the side"
Jan 2, 2015 Not to mention Diz throwing a hissy fit during Pat's second or third when he brought up his dad paying some of the money to get Canibus. Not to backtrack but I'm starting to like Diz less and less the more I think about it. He's been such a hard dude to like in the last while.
Jan 2, 2015 Oh yeah for sure I've hated him since the moment I started loving him lol. That makes no sense but he was INCREDIBLE against DNA, and I had just started getting into battles, so I saw all his grind time s---, swave battle, etc and thought he was Christ reborn But everything he did since then was various levels of disappointing to straight up annoying/grating He was incredible against canibus as well, can't forget that. I wish he came that well against Cassidy.
Jan 3, 2015 One of the best battle's of last year. DNA's been pretty great recently. And Cruger's top 10 of all time idc each round is
Feb 5, 2015 Looking forward to next BOLA. Hitman/Shuffle highlights for me. Anyone got a copy of Tricky P vs Marlo? Will buy it sooner rather than later I imagine.
Feb 5, 2015 Anyways Blackout 5 this weekend, supposedly these are the match ups. OTBVA is usually right. Hope everyone makes it across the border.
Feb 5, 2015 @redsoxx OTBVA was wrong last year (apparently) and Knamelis confirmed that those matches are just guesses on Reddit. I wouldn't put much stock into them. Rex and Mac? Who wants to see that? @cdbleb bootlegs are usually on OTBVA a short time after the event.
Feb 5, 2015 finally we have one anyone see dna and dotz go back and fourth on dont flop really fun to watch
Feb 5, 2015 Nah OTBVA was right last year, its just half the ppl couldnt get over the border. Illmac deserves a big name so Rex makes sense. Would rather see him against Rone though. Dumbfoundead vs Con has been talked about forever so that seems like a lock to me. Only thing that made no sense was Marv vs Quest since they are boys.
Feb 5, 2015 I just want another great back and forth like his battle with K. He's had two battles against URL dudes who didn't take him seriously in the last year and it's getting tiresome. After Rex's performance against Clips I honestly don't see any reason to get excited for that battle. Friend battles have happened before on KOTD. HFK/Charron and Pat/Hollohan immediately come to mind. I don't f--- with Quest or Marv, but I love the dynamic that the friendship side of those battles brings so I'll be checking for it.
