These congressional investigations into Russian interference are pretty pointless imo. Figures like Devin Nunez are doing all they can to shift the investigation/spotlight onto anything other than Trump and the White House. Some republicans in these committees are actively refusing democrats the right to subpoena and question certain individuals. Whatever their conclusion comes to, it won’t matter to me. The special counsel is the only legitimate entity investigating this matter.

Are you talking about the Pokémon go story or that video? The Hill & even the firmly right-wing Washington Examiner reported on that story. Russia meddling has been a hot topic for the past year so of course media outlets are going to report about it.

As for the video, it’s without a doubt cringey but they were reporting on an interview done by The Times. Despite that video & the misleading headline, CNN went on to publish much more than the fact that trump eats two scoops of ice cream. I mean you can see for yourself here. Ice cream is mentioned in two sentences.

The ice cream thing is at worst, a s-----y attention grabber. CNN brings in guests from all over the political spectrum. They are the only major news outlet outside of Fox News (obvi) that hires Trump surrogates to defend him on air, 24/7, no matter what he does. They had Jeffrey Lord on the payroll until he tweeted out a Nazi salute. They even hired trump’s ex-campaign manager Corey Lewondowski. I mean, for all the s--- you guys give CNN for being bias towards trump, they get equally as much s--- from the left for allowing these guys to spew nonsense on national television for hours on end.



When you’re getting s--- from both sides of the political spectrum, as a media outlet, you must be doing something right.

Bannon was told to not answer questions to congress about his time in the White House even after he was subpoenaed. He was also subpoenaed by the special counsel & will be asked questions in front of a grand jury.

Has it ever occurred to you that CNN has morons (and basically paid actors, honestly) on their show to defend Trump purely for propaganda purposes? There are plenty of intelligent people they could bring on but don't because that would run counter to their narrative that Trump and all of his supporters are a bunch of morally and intellectually backward reactionaries. No reasonable, intelligent, freethinking individual would defend him or any other politician no matter what he does. Blind partisan loyalty is a sucker's game (hint hint).

The frequent republican guests they do have on the air tend to be Trump critics. People like Ana Navarro who is a republican & worked on McCain’s campaign in 08’ & supported Jeb Bush in 16’ don’t like Trump. They had to go out of their way to find people who would defend him on air because the republican guests they *usually* have weren’t doing so. I imagine this was done in effort to combat Trump’s narrative that CNN is “bias” against him.
